Two more layouts now added taking the total to 20.

This may also be the last exhibition at the Christie Miller Centre. Although the venue will probably be available in 2016 (and even in 2017) it is becoming obvious that very little money is being spent on the place with the result that it is becoming somewhat dilapidated.

As we have to move in due course, discussions last night have led to the decision to relocate sooner rather than later.

So where are we going? I will start another thread for comments about the possible new location for Trainwest 2016.

Good evening Geoff,

I have just checked my exhibition planner and see that 9 weeks tonight we will be very tired and emotional after a hard day's work playing with Salmon Pastures,,,,, 9 weeks,,, is that all,,,, last time I looked at the planner I'm sure I had about 7 months to get ready for our first venture into the west country.

Thought I'd add a couple of pics to let everyone know what they are in for,,,,, taken by our very own "tame westerner" and his very technically digital box brownie,,,,

We have decided to bring him with us as he not only has this strange attraction to all things Swinedon but he can also act as translator and refreshment coordinator.

Luckily the remainder of us are allergic to,,, chocolate,,, cream,,, copper,,, et al,,,,

Looking forward to meeting you in April.

The bus timetable is now available on the website. This year the bus runs on Saturday only from Chippenham Station to Trainwest calling at Melksham station to connect with trains from Westbury and the south.

To clarify the reduced admission prices, the lower rate of £5 adult and £2 child applies after 1.00pm on Sunday only. The entry in Model Rail is wrong. (This is not our fault.)

  • RMweb Gold

Sorry to hear that Martin ...always a risk isn't it?

We have a team of 3 for the week end - Jimbo, Pierre le Brun and your truly - but 4 would be better

PJKing of this parish may drop in which would be  great but we can cope with 3

Cheers

Phil
