I thought I had finished the body apart from the cab detail. Only to find whilst looking at the photos to publish, I have not replaced the missing cleat on the firebox, and the front vacuum pipe still needs adding.

But apart from that you will see the rest is fairly well up together even though dirty. I altered the vacuum pump covers, I also added some linkage on the same side, I presume it is for the sanding gear. The castings for the front steps and the pony were added at the front.

I have fitted the smoke box door but it is not attached, this is to ease fitting the boiler screw. once all is painted and assembled it will be done. The same with the handrail, it too is only there until painting. Once all fitted it will be varnished as a unit.

It is I think time to make the back head and reversing lever for the cab. Then it is back to the frames, I have put off doing the injectors but now running out of excuses. I also need to make a representation of the warning pick up shoe, which will also be added to the front of the frames.

Hopefully I can start the later in the week. I will be making up a few colour samples at the same time, as I have found a car paint supplier who sells cellulose paint. Might be a long list of colours.

She's coming along very nicely.

Is this one for yourself, or will you be moving her along to pay for future projects?

Thanks Kev

It will be paying for future projects.

I have got to replace some kits. Don't want to run out now do we!!!!!!

I would also like to bring some C&L track back with me when we come over later in the year. I need enough for 24 plus meters of it, and pointwork etc. So some may go towards that.
