That's the actual signal arm from one of the signals that we have on the layout, kindly lent to us for display.
Indeed - I felt it was the photo to head up the Day 3 Album..

The show is now over. The big break down is under way. We hope everyone gets home safely.
We will be back for Easter 2025. A big thank you to everyone who came in any capacity.
and my thanks to all involved in putting it on. I spent the best part of 2 days at the show and rate it among the best and certainly one of the most friendly........I've just popped along and booked our hotel for 2025....

One of yesterday's boat race reporters didn't know which oarsman was bow and which stroke. This morning's news told us that Oxford had won.
But the Oxford stroke was on what is normally bow side - work that one out..

Very nice, Chris. I appreciate that these are just the "rushes", but if you have a chance/time some captions would be good. There are some I know, some that speak for themselves but quite a few I've no idea about. I'd especially like to know more about the layout with Swallow, Amazon and Fram sailing around!
Most are now captioned

Then again, being a child of the 70s, I'm pretty used to adapting what's out there for what I want in terms of D&E rather than banging the table and demanding that my needs are served.
Likewise.....I remember the first Lima BR Diesels...a joy at the time

There is actually another 8 minute video from herwith much better camera work taken near the seaward side of the train. The first four minutes show the process very clearly.
I think we are fortunate that someone was present to video a fairly rare occurence. If she can do this at 15 I think she's done well.
Jamie
I think she's great value and a decent, happy, youngster who clearly loves trains. I hope no one shows her the negative stuff on here. She also seems to have got some of the NR guys to talk to her as well.

My expanded album is here....
Good to bump into his Captainess today - My thanks to all responsible - I had a great two days "helping" on Bunkers Lane. As you may see in the album the next generation were also in evidence (and very efficient)...I've persuaded them to pitch up at Cheltenham in April...

Morning K,
Good to see you yesterday. Thank you. Dippy pretty much behaved itself. I've got a nice spot, tucked away.
Once today is attended to, it's full on for SWAG and the new project.
Morning,
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed Dip. It's probably one of the most satisfying of the layouts so far. Operation is quite simple really but it does have one or two quirks which make it fun to operate in places ( read "why did I build it like that ?!)
I didn't stray very far from the layout yesterday so haven't really seen much of the other exhibits as of yet. I'm hoping to nip about before doors open today but I need to sort an errant wire/connector which by the end of the day was giving me a Norman Collier effect to the controller.........but I may also have a wander towards the end of proceedings if it tails off before close of play.
So, here's to day two of what thus far has been a very enjoyable weekend.
Rob.
The offer of one of our apprentices still stands...
