Thanks for the photos, I enjoyed seeing Lockdown Fen in action, as well as the other jobs you highlight. This was a show well worth attending.
I hope it happens next year. I understand that in common with many shows increased venue costs are becoming an issue...

Morning all,
Just a quick update to say if anyone is popping into the Ogauge shoe in Newport today, I'll see you there. I'm there on behalf of @Lord and Butler Model Railways with a selection of O gauge goodies.
I know @Gilbert is there with Lockdown Fen, fighting a 00 gauge rearguard action with his 2ic, Eric.
Be lovely to see you there.
Rob.
I know better than to refuse an invitation from Fred.....just saying...

Does that mean they mainly use 0 hours contract staff?
I had heard elsewhere that this applies to most of their train staff including drivers - not sure of the actual situation.

A great article, the photos have captured the layout really well.
Thanks
Ian always does a good job - a friend commented that the photos were so good you could not tell what scale the layout is - an interesting thought...

It's about 1.5/2km, depending how quick you walk, say 25 minutes.
There is a bus that comes up from town, I think it wears the number 28 and runs half hourly. Bus timetables though are a bit of a mystery to me, so best double check.
I'm happy with that walk - so thanks.

Exmoor Rail 2024 is on Saturday 1 June 2022 in Minehead at the local college.
Recently added to our list of exhibitors is Jim Allwood with his Apa based project, 2mm fine scale, "Bordesley North".
As Jim says, he has shamelessly plagiarised "Apa Park", using an Ikea "Apa" toybox for this unusual micro-layout. Unusual, in that to the left of the fiddle yard is another micro-layout, previously a container terminal when it appeared at Warley in 2022, we've been told it may be something different by the time it arrives in Minehead!
The main Exmoor Rail 2024 announcement can be found here:
And for those of you that remember our attempts in 2022 to coax the Pacer to move. Yes, it lives!
Looking forward to seeing all our exhibitors, traders and visitors,
@exmoordave David & @robkRob
I remember that Pacer....

Good evening!
As I will be visiting as a member of the paying public can I assume the venue is walkable from the WSR station? There is a train from BL arriving about 1130....Rob may be there by then of course which will be a bonus...
