Very nice indeed. Can you talk us through the weathering process, or did you do a complete respray?

Hi Alan, Sorry it's taken a while to catch up. Really good to talk the other day. Your new layout looks superb btw. ATVB Martin 😊

Steve, it's not right you keep posting photos of the real thing and passing it off as your modelling 🤔🤔🤔😳😄😄👍✌️💜 -
Hi everyone😊 I'm trying my damnedist to do a bit of model making again, relearning, doing simple tasks etc.🤞✌️😊 I'd like to purchase some cosmetic BR roller bearings to retro fit to a few Parkside (ex PSD) vans (as some variation and to modernise/update Eg Blue Spot vans). Am I correct in thinking (remembering) that there were BR roller bearing mouldings and fittings in the Parkside Grampus kits? I also need to add compensation to one or two vehicles and swapping out the PSD "oiler" axleboxes and fitting new - with sliding backs etc - might help in that regard too🤔 I've looked on line for castings and can't find any (found one or two listings but they're NLA). Any help and/or advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance, Martin 😊👍

Very nice work indeed. I particularly like the faded BR blue. I'm experimenting with colour to let down the blue on my Dapol 08 too. Without a complete repaint I've a few options open to me. One of several swatches....

I agree entirely - let's hope it's a goer though.... Good point well made too.

I've been told, via email, all of my joining details could take up to two months. Looks like TT120 will be popular if membership demand is anything to go by? I'm in no hurry.

I'm modelling 08113 as seen at Gloucester circa April 1976 - lightly weathered, that's always a challenge for me😳🙄😄 Mine came with numerous parts having fallen off, so I've mostly remedied such. The detached buffers and shanks were an issue though and I was set to replace them with the exquisite MMP versions (with plate bolt heads and tread plates etc, finer buffer heads etc) but a diecast beam meant such was a whole world of hurt. I elected to reattach the Dapol buffers and their shanks instead, add tread plates and plate bolt heads etc. I then repainted both beams black ala 08113. Apologies re photo quality and trying to photograph the beams, bolts, etc when painted black? Nigh on impossible but I'm sure readers will get the gist. Light weathering will bring out the detail. I'm hoping to make this loco RC, to be able to run it anywhere.

Thanks, understood and agreed👍✌️😊

Very neat - thanks. I take it that's usually the type/size used in OO models?

The RFD version, did you modify the doors/bonnet etc or is this the second Dapol release? Did you remove the cab? That can be tricky🤔🤔 Nice work BTW👍👍✌️😊

Nice work! I see MERG seem to do more streamlined capacitors for SA facilities?

Lovely work. Who's track is that Steve? How do you find the wood and plastic construction (is heavy duty solvent used)? How does it cope with damp ballast? Thanks in advance. M😊👍 -
Thanks chaps, I'll keep weather eye open.
