  1. Just passed the relevant info onto Gordon for a look. I'm not hopeful though, as with recent things, it has paid me not to count my chickens. lol cheers Dave
  2. Hi everyone, I've received some preliminary files from the laser scanning company that i'm going over tonight, with a view to 'trying' to put them on here tomorrow after i come back for the night from the Crewe Heritage Centre 30th anniversary APT + 47 show. Please don't moan if i don't until Monday though. However for tonight, i hope you like the link here below my name....... scanning, photography and film by Drone......enjoy, and you might fleetingly spot yourself if you attended the scanning on June 2nd this year! cheers Dave

  4. Hi Ifihelps, and i' a real luddite when it comes to all this. The original website was on a server, apparently the new one was to be uploaded to a server (the one i was using) and ive just checked and the incomplete web site is available for me to log in, see and alter stuff. the bounce back mail just reads about not found on this domain. the worst thing is that projects are now ready to go and i can do b ugg er all to get them tooled until this is fixed. all comments appreciated, and im going to his office (registered address) on Monday..... just in case. cheers guys. Dave
  5. Hi Tony, bank transfer from my business account unfortunately. i will be sending a 'special delivery' letter though, on monday giving 7 days to respond and fix the site / upload it to the server. cheers Dave
  6. Hi everyone, my much vaunted new web site is at a standstill at the 11th hour. despite the compay i used ing the web guy for some big names, it appears that he was 'problems'. i knew 14 days ago he had I.T. problems, theb subsequently family problems, so i cut him , (as you do) some slack. fairs fair after all. Now despite the site being ready to go live (and get a few members here to test it), i cannot get contact from him at all..its been a week, he's been fully paid but nothing. Not by phone or internet, and my mails keep bouncing back as 'address not found at the destination domain' So im after suggestions , or even help as i may need someone to do me a new integrated web site with e --commerce. so, if you can help with advice etc, i'd appreciate it. cheers Dave
  7. you infer correctly. :-) the Chinese didnt want to do what i suggested, and to be honest, i suppose this way prevents any faffing around. you buy a set, done! as the meerkat says 'simples' cheers Dave
  8. Yes, i envisage it being just like the castle. cheers Dave
  9. Hi. As the previous N gauge APT project was based on the higher price, all orders have been deleted along with personal info, so when the new project goes live, please treat it as a completely new appeal. cheers Dave
  10. Hi everyone, and thanks for your support. Like you, i'm very glad to see the accounts now up to date. Great idea about the web site and i'll rope some of you kind souls in to kick it into touch for me. The laser scan is, unfortunately running a day or so later, but they are also supplying a Step/STL file for me to get the scan produced in 3D printed form. Anyone know anyone who can do this for me please as i currently use a company in India who do a great print (see the N and OO class 92's) but if the price is right i'd like to keep it 'in country'? Cheers Dave
  11. Hi Dave, When this long awaited website goes live, you'll be able to order the model and pay the deposit directly there, and fill in your details including the up to date address. You will get a generated receipt as well confirming your details. Cheers Dave
  12. Hi everyone, At last a reduced price quote from China for the less than full fat APT. Please remember this is for a plain interior, no Tilt, no interior lighting, no through wiring (so will need 3 decoders i'm afraid) etc (it does and will have directional lighting and DCCsound capable) The costs are based on 1000 units in total but may be a movable feast depending on the final numbers through a mix of each set. Please note, that this is purely (at this stage) an expression of interest, and a page will be put on my web site for 'expressions of interest and please do not place an expression on the page when it goes live unless you are certain you want one, as your 'expression' may be the one that puts the model into production, and as numbers are tight and anyone who drops out or in fact does not have any intention of ordering will be doing the whole project a disservice. ! will not be doing pre-orders until an 'expression' break even figure is reached through whatever mix of units interested in. Once the pre-order limit is reached i will then add the relevant page to my website allowing real pre-ordering and secure payment for the 50% deposit. Balance would be due 4 weeks before the train packs ship. As follows; SET2 0002 #370006 +370007 5 car set with black front window £330.00 SET3 0003 #370006 +370003 7 car set black front window £395.00 SET4 0004 #370004 +370002 7 car set full yellow front end £385.00 SET5 0006 #370006 +370003 10 car set black front window £485.00 SET6 0007 #370005 +370002 14 car set black front window £550.00 Prices include VAT, shipping to the UK, tooling, design etc, but do not include postage to you when they arrive in the UK. You will be asked to pay this as an addition to the final payment for the model.
  13. For those that dont know, and why would you, the company 'AFFA' closed this last Friday. from my sources, it took quite a few companys that use them by surprise. These are becoming more common for some reason i will not speculate on, but one thing i do know is a strong rumour (yes i know, speculation, sorry) that another, larger company are rumoured to also be close to doing the same. HTH cheers Dave

its a paid for thing mate. obviously i cannot say how much etc or the limitations, but BRM's masters do need to make the site pay for itself.
  15. Hi, i think ive told everyone here whats happened regarding the factory change, in more than one thread. however my phone number is 07923 867847 it's on my new website, thats for sure. feel free to ring any working day, although saturday and sunday i may also be available, although as i'm at a show thursday to Sunday inclusive, it might not get answered due to noise and talking to customers, but please leave a message and a phone numer and i'll get back to you as soon as i am able. Cheers Dave
  16. Apologies everyone, you know sometimes you scan x amount of threads with new posts and miss stuff. Now, i think the way some are on here, nothing i will say will help anything. There are nay sayers, there are yay sayers, yes there is a chance, like explained all along, that monies could get lost. However, spare just a teany thought for me here, if all the nay sayers put off the yay sayers to such an extent that they do not re-order, and most have now had refunds pending.....where does that leave both me and the project? Thats easy really isnt it? up the creek without a paddle basically! the investment in the start of the project has already been made, i will soon have a brand new Ford Fiesta sized scanning bill to pay.......as people have been suitably put off by certain nay sayers who just keep digging and trolling and following my every breath and move. i'm surprised they haven't posted that i had a pint of beer at the weekend! Then i have the Chinese bill, which is about a quarter of the Brand new ford fiesta to pay for the design. As for me making any money on the project, yup, its nil! what it is, is a kudos thing, one to set a standard, a bar, a line in the sand that says....'there, thats what i can do, now just let me get on and do my work instead of analising it down to the nth degree' i will however, have a tooling that i can use as a company asset in write downs for 3 years from tooling payment. So why wont the APT make profit i hear you say? well thats tooling and product against returns. As you all know the APT did make it across the line, and did until recent posts here, continue to receive orders for the full price version pushing the project into an area that could be profitable for both myself and DToS. The project is not in doubt now, and wont be until i know what we get regarding the existing customers returning their deposits. Pretty much all i've spoken to have said they will, but there are hundreds of others who we need to see what happens with. Finances: As far as i'm concerned HMRC are ok at the minute, no matter what is read, my domain is safe and always has been irrespective of others comments ( i know as i had a nice chat with their MD earlier today). Now before some of you go on about what's happened in the last month, let me say this..... i have never said i'm not guilty. i have been. Totally! this has led some who take an interest announcing these things, gaining ammunition to throw at me. ( i pity what Revolution may get thrown at them now based on these last few weeks), i cannot state this enough....... mea culpa! If you only knew, apart from my own self induced idiocy, what has happened here this last month or 3 you'd blanch...... to give a few examples...... Paypal..... yes that story. Many many weeks to get anywhere with anything with them, and then getting told what i was........... Lloyds Clicksafe..... having to jump trough their usual hoops, then get them to look and approve the web site, its integration, and testing payment icons and the shopping side of it........ 2 more weeks,........... getting the scanning on the APT converted to a useable cad.... which we all thought would take a week to 10 days (and its that and counting), you know, however cathartic this might be it's best i stop now, you know some of the rest, and maybe the rest you will never know, but i've not known anything like this last few months. I know,' boo hoo, poor David, its your job get over it!', and yes you'd be right. but if some of the above gives you an incling lf just how frustrating this has all been for me, and how dispiriting it's been. you'd be right, and you now have a personal insite. Unfortunately some will gain suckor from this, and come back and bite me again, and i will just have to take it. As for starting my own DJM forum, it is something that wont cost anything but time, but allow me some sort of control, as i think DJM on RMW isnt a happy place for me at the moment. Anyway, normally i'd read this post, re read it, change a few things, then delete most of it for a more 'to the point' post rather than a long ramble. if you've got here and havn't dropped off to sleep, then i tip my hat to you, and sorry for going on for so long. I'm at Crewe this week from Thursday, if you want a chat, come and please do so. i dont bite. lol oh, and although it might not show, i currently have over £900 in credit with HMRC at the moment! At least thats good news! lol All the best to you all Dave

Hi guys, i'm considering adding a forum to my new website. chat of all things, but mostly DJM stuff. what do you all think? cheers Dave
  18. Concurrent mate, and hopefully i'll be announcing some big news when both gauges go into the tool room. cheers Dave
  19. Hi Mike, nothing, and i'm truly pushing. i think they are worried (they monitor here by the way) that its not worth the quoting due to the poor pickup on the full fat N gauge version, but i've assured them that none of us know truly, until its put to you, the modeller to decide. would be nice to confirm a price this weekend for the Crewe Heritage APT anniversary show. I'm going with a stand and so are Kernow if anyone wants to drop by and say hello? cheers Dave
  20. looks gorgeous mate, a real credit to you. see you from Thursday onwards at Crewe.
  21. Hi Mate, i will do, and on whatever web site i'll be using. however, deposit e-mails will go out to all, almost immediately King2 and King3 are completed. cheers Dave
  22. Hi, i've just checked and i have no mails from you on my (what will very soon become) my old website. lots of russian spam, but nothing 92's im afraid. The 92 is current;y being designed (not sure you knew, but i had to move factories, and couldnt take the finished design with me for varioys reasons), but i did have the STP files and the EASM ones and it is making the new design much easier than just starting afresh normally would. However, the 92 will run along side the APT in the tooling, as the aitumn frees up tooling space due to manufacturers coming to an end with pre christmas rush production, so both may just appear at Warley this year with a fair wind. the change of factory has helped with better sound recordings, better speaker space and the use of better design than previously for the chassis, gears etc. The delay has been terrible, but things are happening now and quite soon i will be asking for 2nd deposit payments, so please keep a look out on my new web site. This should only be days away now ( i know, ive said it previously, but so much is happening behind the scenes, i'll make a huge missive of it in my annual End Of Year Report). Cheers Dave oh, dont forget you can always ring me too.
  23. Ah, thanks mate, sorry for being dim. you will be able to order ant fersion immediately, not just King1, as the ystem will ebable all versions to be ordered. King2 and King3, cad cams are with me, and undergoing checks but they need a few changes and might take until the middle to the end of next week, but also not far off, so it makes sense to allow all orders immmediately so that tooling can start very soon too cheers Dave
  24. Sorry mate, my fault, i'm lost. There are no other models apart from crowdfunded ones. if you have ordered one, its one of those, not part of a standard production run as there is no standard production run. cheers Dave
