So I’ve wired up my DS by powering the outer stock rails but all locos stop dead on it. So I think I’m gonna do the scary job of lifting it and replacing the IRJs with standard ones.
Before you do that have you thought of manually connecting the DS to the adjoining tracks using just pieces of wire of, if you have them, crocodile clips? Might identify a simpler fix than the drastic move you're thinking of.

Good explanantion of how they fit below the board. Unfortunately the motors photographed by the OP have much shorter actuating rods, so to use them the rods would have to be extended - this can be done by soldering on an extension, connecting it by means of a short piece of brass tube with the right inside diameter to take the rods.
PECO sell (or used to) the relevant extension bits

I’ve a feeling they may be inundated with emails from people who don’t know their order number. I don’t know why I can’t find the email, have tried searching for 37714, HTG, various combinations of heavy, tractor and group….
Sender of order confirmation is heavytractorgroup.org if that helps

We still get deliveries six days a week here, but we are seeing less parcel farce vans, they are carrying more small parcels with the normal postie.
A deliberate spelling mistake?

Don't blame you in the slightest for letting it run on your Welsh layout!
Well the language looks very similar so doesn't look out of place!

Can anybody tell me where 60062 can be seen on the network please? If it's anywhere 'up North-East' I might be tempted.

Warley might have been the biggest, someone else will pick up the mantle now.
How does York compare in size to Warley?

Whilst I applaud this initiative (I lost my father to PC a few years ago) is it not unfair that A/S are providing the donation out of their profits - would it not perhaps be better if there was a slight premium added to the cost so the public were funding the donation. Say make 2,000 exclusive models and add £5. Just a thought if this is going to be an ongoing situation.

I also installed "ferrules" into which the twisted wire is inserted and the end crimped. This improves the grip in the screw terminal of the choc block.
@brossardWhat size ferrules did you use for the terminal block connections please?

Well, that’s an impressive display in the second photograph, even without any class 50 diesels, class 89 electric, nuclear wagons, HUO wagons, chaldron wagons, NER 20T hoppers, and 16T mineral wagons! There’s quite a lot more on the way.

I think it highly unlikely A/S would provide samples of forthcoming models as you suggest

In the FIFA World Cup final competition, the refs. are brought together and given a "standardisation" course, so that they know what's expected of them in terms of decision - making
I can't believe the IRB don't do something similar

I always think it's unfair that the All Blacks are allowed to perform this when no other nation has the option. I don't mind traditional games like the Barbarians, or even the British Lions when on tour, but for a 'normal' competitive game it should have been stopped years ago. I remember a story doing the rounds when Bill Beamount was being proposed for President of World Rugby, the All Blacks hierarchy were against his appointment as it was rumoured he was of the same opinion.

once again though the laws are ruining the game. There was no way England should have been playing with 14 for that. (There was a later moment with an Argentinian elbow to an English head which is surely just as damaging as head to head….) These head impact rules have gone far too far if you can get a red despite wrapping and angling!
The Argentinian yellow should have been a straight red - jump in the air at speed, turn your back and make contact with arse against head - no mitigation whatsoever

Assistant referees are taught that neither should raise a flag until they have agreed it between them.
I didn't see the incident but what you say then becomes a problem if they don't agree it's gone over. At the end of the day it's the referee's decision as to whether it's a good kick or not - the TJ's are there to assist, not confirm or deny.

The artwork shared is a mock up provided to the HTG to check the nameplate positioning for their upcoming model of 37714. They have requested the model be produced in BR condition as will have more use to modellers. However, in recognition of the outstanding assistance that the group has provided Accurascale from the very inception of this project we have agreed to provide multiple sets of etched nameplates, arrows and plaques to assist customers in representing the locomotive at various stages of its career. None of these will be printed giving the modeller the opportunity to customise their loco how they wish. The exclusive model of 37714 will be supplied with Thornaby TMD and Cardiff Canton nameplates plus the crest on the latter, Thornaby and Canton depot plaques, a set of arrows and, finally, the HTG's classic 'Tractor' headboard!
I have recently moved to Thornaby and will be naming my layout as such - so having the option to base it in Thornaby is wonderful news for me.
