  1. Very nice vegitation, looks overgrown and neglected. Martin
  2. Yes, the model has to fit in a box measuring 8 x 8 x 6 inches. Regards, Martin
  3. Hello, For the tank ends have you thought about using the concave end of a soft drink or beer can? It's not something I've done myself but I have seen it on the 'net somewhere. Martin
  4. Hi, Have you seen these metal cows and other animals: http://www.minibits.net/animals/20mm-animals/ Regards, Martin
  5. Hi Luke, One way of dealing with the magnet between the rails as you have positioned them is to take a photo of a short length of ballasted track, print it out full size on a piece of good quality paper or thin card, cut out a length of the ballasted sleepers from your printed photo and then stick it down on top of the magnet. It won't look quite as good as fully ballasted track but it will look better than just the magnet. I hope that helps, Martin
  6. Hi Luke, you've made good progress with this layout and I'm looking forward to seeing the buildings finished and the final detailing when your studies allow. Martin

  15. I had a similar problem with sawing 12 mm gauge track, an alternative method I have used is to file through the the track using a triangular needle file. You could also mark the length required, remove from the sleeper base and then saw to length. The easiest method is to use a cutting disc in a mini drill. Martin
  16. Hello Milano, A Google image search found these two entries with the photo intact: http://philsworkbench.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/have-workbench-will-travel.html http://philsworkbench.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/plan-for-panel.html If you click on the label "layout in a box" at the foot of the second link it will show more posts with some details. Regards, Martin

  18. Hi Steve, Good modelling there. Even the grottiest building has potential, you just have to see it. Martin
  19. Hi Stu, You don't need a complete drum just an arc from the rim, as to closing the door I have seen sliding heavy fire doors which use a weight on a piece of rope to pull the door shut, the channel the door moved along had a slight slope towards the "closed" end. I hope this makes sense. Martin
  20. Now solved, BRM responded to my "unsubscibe" email. I too am fed up of the emails from BRM I have tried sending a reply to them with unsubscribe in the subject but it hasn't worked. I have checked the box in my account on this forum. When I view the whole email there is an unsubscribe link in brackets, (https://outandaboutlive.us8.list-manage.c= om/unsubscribe?u=3Dc4535fd8aad1d462557790604&id=3Dc23b5295b1&e=3De9f017202c&= c=3D8ca671ea4c) When I paste this address in my browser it doesn't go to the correct webpage. Please help. Thank you Martin
