Have decided intelligent life has left the UK as people on Social media think recent Electric Storms in Clouds, are Alien Invaders.
-

Well that is three days running that RMweb has made my laptop crash for no reason.
Form 1 needs to be sent out.

Is anyone else fed up with being fed up?

When do Greater Anglia fully withdraw their class 90 push-pull sets?

Have any European class 66's ever visited the UK?
-
The advantage of the Euro 66 is that GM used the British body shell! Those pictured above came in by ship from Hull Docks, and were towed to Longport for overhaul and repaint, before being towed back to Hull. The three have been given temporary numbers for the movement - 66999, 66998 and 66997.
There are 3 from Sweden that GBRf have been purchased and will be into traffic this summer. They are currently at Longport and will become 66790-66792. In the current fleet, 66747-66749 were formerly Crossrail Benelux EU locos and 66750/751 are both ex-EU locos. These five have had major mods to the cabs, signalling systems etc to make them compatible with the UK network.
Four locos from the 66773-779 could also be said to be former EU locos although they have never been in the EU! EMD had four power units on the ground in the EU prior to the new emissions regulations coming in. GBRf acquired them and shipped them back to the US, and EMD built four 66s around them - because the power units had physically been in the EU they were valid despite not meeting the current emissions regulations.

I’ve just spotted an article on Rail Advent where the A1 Tornado is written as ‘ex-LNER’. That would make sense if the loco was that old, but Tornado never ran for the LNER because it is way too new. How can it be ‘ex-LNER’ if the LNER never had the loco?
It would make sense if the design was what was ex-LNER.

Why do I receive notifications about topics I'm not remotely interest in?

Why do I receive notifications about topics I'm not remotely interest in?

It may just be things that you’ve followed in the past but long since turned the notifications off. With the reset it’s turned them back on by default - try just going through your content list and ‘unfollowing’ or turning off the notifications for anything you don’t want. The software really is no more difficult than it was, things are just in different places or the names have changed over the years.

I cannot access my feed thro' Feedly now; prev no probs
-
No problem, just so we're on the same wavelength. This is one of what are now called activity feeds? Ie Unread content, or content you follow? If so, then go to the page on rmWeb, at the top of the page (below the rmWeb banner), you'll see the page name, ie Unread content. On the same line, over on the right it says RSS - and you can copy the feed address from there.

I can't for the life of me make any sense of this 'updated' site. As far as I can see it's a 'downdate'. Sorry guys, you've dropped it somewhat.

Have a look at the FAQ thread. Also the first post on there explains why the upgrade was done.

Has anyone ever encountered a form of technology that was less user friendly than a supermarket diy checkout?
