  1. Wait until your 82nd year together and she cannot climb the loft ladder ...........
  2. Have you seen the amount of caps some women have already got? Bobby Moore would have to still be playing in his grave to match the amount. It makes me wonder if they get one for turning up for training
  3. I just find that there are differences that show. Maybe it is muscular and womens muscles in throwing sports (after all, netball came from basketball) and leg muscles in football are quite different in most females. So many times last night my coffee table took some kicks as I helped them clear balls away. It's not that they lack skill it is just lack of power. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching this little US footballeress. Reminded me of Billy Bremner.
  4. Yes, she has just confirmed that. I understood them to be a different breed more like a St Bernard.
  5. The sun is trying to shine today up in blanket sky. Off to the nurse practitioner and the blood letting nurse for my wife. A 2 in 1 appointment to consolidate pain gained from going out. She's already had an assessment centre appt this week for her assault at work, so 2 appts in one week is pretty tiring. On top of everything already, her right shoulder is displaying the same pain that her left shoulder needed a bone shaving op several years ago.
  6. Are they the Belgian dogs they use for life rescue in water? My wife goes on about these rescue dogs but I never know what they are.
  7. I fully appreciate that after growing up on a full fat diet of mens football, women's football will not be the same. It's like women throwing balls its just awful to watch at times, similar to watching Spurs and England at times.
  8. Given a choice of red hot needles in both eyes or watching womens football, I would choose to sit in a room with Nigel Farage and drive the needles in my own eyes!
  9. I am afraid if it does I have already claimed IP on it
  10. I will miss that thread Richard if it ever closes. I have no connection with it apart from reading it. However when his announcement was made and people got no email replies only silence, I feared the worst. I do feel for people who have lost money. Since that May announcement that thread has gone in ever increasing circles. Some feeling for him, some wanting his blood. Some defending him, some ripping into his work ethic. If I ever did need a 2nd hand car ......
  11. I am sure the cliffs have encroached since broad gauge days but there are places, such as the inland side where the lime burners hut still just about stands that can determine the track width. Back in the 70's I walked up the Parsons Tunnel box stairs that led from trackside to the cliff top. One bit of a climb.
  12. Too true me blud. Been here weeks waiting for someone to join in.
  13. Will you feature the brake stick wedged into the brake handle assembly of a wagon with the shunter riding on it?
  14. Will she call it "heigh ho?"
  15. 'ow very nice to see you old chap, it's just like the old days, the 2 of us posting on here. How's Blodwen these days!
  16. Apologies for digressing. How much more room did double track broadgauge take over double track standard gauge? At points along the Teignmouth seawall there doesn't seem to be much for much extra width.
  17. The station may be slightly out of the town in Wellington but having lived in Wellington a few years I would have preferred getting a train from there rather than having to get into Taunton and then getting to the station. Especially if I wanted to travel westward. Since I moved from Wellington the population must have increased sizeably. At least a repurposed Wellington station would be nothing like Tiverton Parkway serves Tiverton.
  18. enthusiasm seems to be waning here, just wait until Waynetta finds out.
  19. NR seems to recognise Exeter is growing but the people of Wellington, Som, had their station closed by Beeching and Wellington is also growing. I wonder if Exeter isn't one of the smallest cities with the most stations.
