Class 37, by Accurascale
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Thank you for sharing the photos, I couldn’t get to Warley so I really appreciate this. These 37s are looking superb and there is so much attention to detail. We are in for a treat. Kind Regards, Danny. -
Class 50, By Accurascale
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I mentioned above about a larger production run for any retailer and Accurascale Exclusive Class 50s so that it prevents most people from missing out. One of the Accurascale team, sorry I can’t remember who, reacted to my comment so I’m assuming that they have taken these comments on board, which I’m sure they have because they are excellent at listening to feedback and making tweaks where appropriate. This was my thoughts and worry too which is why I mentioned it. I think the Accurascale Class 50s will be incredibly popular. Hope this helps. Kind Regards, Danny. -
REALTRACK models announce Class 143 and Class 144
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to Andy Y's topic in Realtrack
Hi Charlie, I hope you are well? If you don’t mind me asking is this a new batch of ATW and Metro liveried Class 143s and 144s that you have for sale at the moment or are these stocks that you found that were from the first batch a few years ago? I ask because I thought that new and future batches of 143s and 144s were due to be delivered in 2023 and 2024 after the next batch of 156s have arrived in early 2023 and the 142s also in 2023. I’m just not sure if I have missed something somewhere. Also are the ATW Blue on the 143s and Metro Red on the 144s the only liveries that you have available on these classes at the moment, or are there other liveries available now too? Thank you in advance. Kind Regards, Danny. -
Class 50, By Accurascale
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
This is another fantastic announcement, and one that I and many others thought was coming. With only six models announced so far I can see a few more been added to the first batch. I think a Revised NSE 50 will appear, a GWR Green 50007, 50050 in its current condition as owned by Neil Boden and hired to Colas and GBRf 50007 & 50049. I would personally like both of the GBRf 50s because I didn’t buy the Hornby versions that were released in 2020 because of there many errors and faults and I suspected that this announcement was coming, so I’m hoping that being patient will pay off. I just hope that if the GBRf 50s are announced as exclusives to Accurascale or a retailer that they are both produced in large quantities so that no one misses out because I feel that with the GBRf livery looking so smart, only two 50s wearing the livery and the wide variety of trains the pair have worked in reality since they were repainted in early 2019, they will be really popular. Congratulations Accurascale, keep up the excellent work. I am sure that this announcement will have pleased many people. When is the first batch due to arrive? Rails are stating Q4 2023 on there website but I didn’t see an estimated delivery date in the opening post of this thread, so I thought I should check to make sure. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards, Danny. -
New loco announcement at warley
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to Craig1989's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I think one of the announcements if there is more than one will be a new OO Gauge Class 50. I have had a feeling that Accurascale will produce one for a while. I feel quite confident saying this but watch me completely wrong haha. Whatever the announcement/s are I’m sure they will be fantastic and in demand from us lot. Kind Regards, Danny. -

I’m glad that you two have added these classes because I was going to, and I don’t think I have mentioned them before in my previous thoughts on this thread. The Hornby and Bachmann models could be improved upon by including more detailing, lighting and stay alive capacitors so that these locos don’t stop when running over points and dirty track. It’s for these reasons that I haven’t as yet bought any of the recent Bachmann releases and in case Accurascale or another manufacturer announces new models of these classes in the near future. As you mention their are lots of liveries that they could be produced in, plus lots of different branding and logo variations too especially when they have been hired to other operators. Kind Regards, Danny. -
Bachmann Turbostars (Class 168, 170 & 171) - Retooled
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to joejab95's topic in Bachmann
Thank you for posting this information, it’s greatly appreciated. I think the Bachmann 159 that is to be the Kernow model is in the South Western Railways livery. I saw a few weeks ago a photo of one on Twitter. I can’t remember if it was posted on the Kernow Twitter page or if it was by a modeller/collector who had gained some information. I suspect it will be a very popular model. Kind Regards, Danny. -
KMRC hint of new exclusive
DRS Crewe On A Mission replied to rembrow's topic in Kernow Model Rail Centre
If I was to take a guess at this it could be a newly tooled Bachmann Class 57/0 as someone has mentioned above as their are twelve of these 57001-57012. Another guess would be the Class 73/9 as their are thirteen of these 73951, 73952 and 73961-73971. Of course I could be completely wrong. Kind Regards, Danny. -

I also believe that their were at least one livery error on one of the liveries that Dapol produced the MRA in. I believe though that improved couplings, wheels, accurate production of liveries and availability, not to mention some of these sets now being refurbished and converted by Loram, Derby RTC, I think that these reasons are good enough to produce a new upgraded model. I didn’t buy these sets due to these issues, so I would suspect that I’m not alone in this and with these wagons in reality being refurbished and converted which will see them continue in use for years to come I certainly think this adds scope and potential for a new and improved model. I agree they are complex wagons but I think that if anyone can produce these either individually or as sets for a reasonable price it’s Accurascale. Kind Regards, Danny.
