Here's 4 different loco profiles at different locations along the freight only line from Warrington that serves Fiddlers Ferry Power Station. There's some good opportunities for some close encounters of trains that can be shot safely behind the fence! 60044 on a working from Liverpool Bulk Terminal to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station loaded, imported coal. 66509 has just left Fiddlers Ferry and is heading for Latchford Sidings to run around its train. 70013 on the Ellesmere Port to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station on a glorious summers day last year. Another shot of a 70 as 70005 rounds a curve on the approach to the power station.

Not got many photos that could be posted into this catagory as I tend to get close-ups of loco's and delete anything were the loco number cant be read in the photo. Here's two that avoided the delete button due to the location. Sorry but not taken with the greatest of digital cameras. Might have to invest in a new one . . . . . Colas Rail 56302 on the S&C working the Ribblehead to Chirk log train crossing the Ribblehead viaduct in September 2013. Just crossed the viaduct. Could probably get a good silhouette of the train here in a different light.

Here's the pair of 20's at Wigan North Western on platform 1 on 3/3/2015. The last time I saw a train down the Haydock/St Helens branch off the WCML at Golborne was (I think) a Crewe to Ashton In Makerfield loaded stone that was top n tailed by a pair of Freightliner class 66's which must have been in 2010/2011 going to the Hanson site that's down there.

On the 12th September 2013 I was working in Horton In Ribblesdale but my job got cancelled until the next day so i decided to have a drive up to Ribblehead to see the viaduct for the first time, unaware that Colas Rail 56302 was in the sidings being loaded at the time. So I parked up and had a walk onto the station to take a few photos. The next day i caught the same train as it headed down the Settle/Carlisle line with a loaded train of logs at Horton In Ribblesdale station.

Freightliner Class 70 is held at a signal so it was an ideal opportunity to get some photos. The location is Slutchers Lane, Warrington with 70011 ready to depart for Stoke Gifford having unloaded at Fiddlers Ferry on Saturday 28th February 2015. And then sets off with some smoke as the power is applied.
