Nice tidy job Mark, I must admit I preferred building an original rather than a soft Dapol one. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/blogs/entry/3019-prestwin-dear-packer-no-57/

Dammit Mike; you've done it again!
You know what my question will be. :) Drop me a line when you get chance!

I do like it Al; it captures its predecessor nicely and yet, in a good way, doesn't look N. I probably prefer your original style of backscene though - it's one of your trademarks.

Thanks, Annie - yes, “Ariel fonts disease” must be cured!
It could be worse.
Looks like a bad case of van Arial disease.

a bit like RMweb used to be.
It was never free; it was always, and still is, paid for by someone else.

Can I pop round your house for free entertainment whenever I feel like it?

Merry Christmas Mike to you and yours over on the green isle. That's a neat fun project.

Still can't post on Chrome. When I try to reply to anything, all I get is the grey box for uploading images. I also wasn't able to post a status update.
It may be worth trying to clear any RMweb history and temporary files in Chrome as well as the cookies. There may be a corrupt cookie lurking after a Chrome update. Also try it in an incognito window in Chrome and that will eliminate if it's a Chrome software issue or not. Running Chrome on three different devices here and all seems fine.

Ok, the above proves it isn't a server/software issue.
Have you got another device or browser you can test on to try and narrow down what may be causing it?

I'll try and investigate in the morning on the big PC Al.

Yes, you should now be able to shout* at your lights for colour and brightness too.
* I find talking normally is greeted with indifference by Madame Google.

Sigh; you've done it again Mike. Absolutely brilliant!

Nature does a good job of backscenes down your way Dan! The natural lighting brings the modelling alive too. Nice work and you do take a decent pic.

No one's mentioned the elephant in the room Mike; you've gone and created another very charismatic scene!
I'm sorry I'm latte in coming in with a reply but I've been distracted with all the stuff we're doing for this weekend. I certainly don't find the tone of the original images offensive; light varies a lot and you've got a warm, strong evening light at play with your typically ingenious light.
From that as a base point it's possible to neutralise tones somewhat in photo software if you're after a different look.
The best point of advice given is training your camera for its white balance; are you able to save a custom white balance setting? If so, point it at something medium grey in tone and get it use that as its datum. You should then have consistency wherever the same light source is falling.
We've been discussing depth of field in another topic too https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/156102-chdk-and-focus-stacking/&do=findComment&comment=4033077

Dudley used to have tropical lizards in vivariums in the shopping centre; as exotic as it got in the Black Country, apart from Cuddles the killer whale in Dudley Zoo.
There's probably still Kimodo dragons in Tipton though, it's not known as The Lost City for no reason. It's definitely not Eldorado or Atlantis.

I do like these transitory misguided elements of putting lipstick on pigs in your 60s/70s municipal wastelands; a bit like the Hepworth statues that stood in the Mander Centre for snotty kids (like me) to clamber all over when Dad had popped into Tesco.

Superb atmospheric shots as ever Mike! Sitting here watching 'The Right Stuff', many years since I last saw it, a mammoth film.

I recognise the cactus and rocks etc. I do hope you are not going to take up my time with multiple identities again.

Another perspective is that prior to the software changes a few months ago many blog entries did not get the traffic or interaction they merited. The new software allowed the blog content to feature in VNC increasing dialogue in those areas so the balancing of interaction is more complex than just the use of reaction clicks.
