  1. Just before I left it was time for a brew so sat on the platform and caught a ‘rat’. Last picture is a shot of the carriage storage shed.
  2. Whilst there 31128 brought a whitby train in. A couple of shots of it running round, ready for the return journey.
  3. Today I was given a guided tour of the NYMR carriage workshops a big thanks to the staff there.
  4. Hi Chris, Might have missed this but what colour green did you use? In my army days we would very often paint our tanks, by hand or spray gun if it was working or available. Chieftains & Challengers took some time to do, if I recall correctly Command Troop did have a Spartan. Regards Julian.
  5. Thanks Chris, they're not cheap but nothing is that is good, so really pleased with them. Will look good on the well wagon. A pity that trains4u have no plans to upscale their MOD flat.
  6. A quick under coat before glueing track on and painting.
  7. A couple of Spartans arrived today. A bit of prep work to do. Unfortunately one rear mud flap broke off so that had to be stuck first. Pretty pleased with them.
  8. Took two the Granddaughters out this morning so an excuse to go down to the railway. A set of buffers were sourced for the brake van so hopefully soon we will be able to offer brake van rides. The members who renovated the BV have done a fantastic job. For safety boards, will be added underneath the bars on the verandah. This van came from the GWR at Toddington Glos.
  9. 37421 has just delivered a new mini digger on a well wagon.
  10. Thanks Hal will maybe get that one later just finished painting this one from West Hill complete with driver.
  11. Its hard to fight, miffed I never hung on till now paying full price 😪 although the yellow one I bought was heavily discounted. Brilliant bargain, also followed your lead getting some bits from West Hill 👍
  12. Hi David, Looks great as does the track, Iv tried to resist but will get the yellow one when the sound versions come into stock. I believe firmly that our great British manufacturers should be supported as much as possible. Can I ask where you got the track from? Kind regards Julian.
  13. Thanks Al, I will be trying hard to get to Barnsley.
  14. Hi Al, How do the Buzz VGA’s compare to the GJH version? Cheers Julian.
  15. Picked up an excellent read whilst in Smiths today.
  16. Brought 47537 downstairs where the layout is at present for a visit to the yard. I think its first appearance here. This week I will weather it as its long over due! No sooner had 9555 left it took its place.
  17. Hi Hal, Very true these have the advantage of being attached through the hook but just arent strong enough it appears.
  18. Hi Paul, Its the end link thats comes out and its fiddly to locate link onto the two locating lugs if thats clear? Regards Julian.
  19. A tad disappointed that during the show on Saturday the Dapol VEA couplings came apart on three wagons, has this occurred with anyone else? A challenge to reassemble with dodgy eyes.
  20. Late night visitor at the yard.
  21. Thanks Al, Much appreciated. Hope your show goes well at the weekend, wish I could get there but I am away at my Mothers who is not well.
