I'm really looking forward to seeing Robin's P4 layout tomorrow.. This evening a a number of layouts have been set up ready for tomorrow. Chard Junction is a large O gauge layout not often seen at full size. Also shown is Sharps Park and Lizerpool. Lizerpool has working dock cranes, a working roadway as well as a working railway. This layout is a home layout and is rarely seen on the exhibition circuit. Don't miss it! Trains are running to Highbridge between Bristol and Plymouth on Saturday. Just £6 for adults with accompanied children free.

Chris I take all comments as constructive. We have thought about a Gazebo....but it could blow away! We are also looking at an alternative venue in Weston. It may not be any good. And thanks for your support for next year. I enjoy organising the shows and it is a pleasure to feature top notch models.

Yes sorry about that. We were surprised by how busy it was! We did want to use the school's catering but they didn't want to know. For next year we are looking at a tea and coffee van as well to keep the queues down at the food van. And maybe exhibitor sandwiches...but who wants that when you can have a Bumpkins burger. The products are farm shop quality. Thanks for helping with Bunkers Lane . I didn't manage to see all the exhibits that well, just too busy so nice to see some photos and of course Callum's video.

Sedgemoor Rail Somerset Model Railway Show August 27/28th 10am to 4pm King Alfred School, Highbridge, Somerset TA9 3EE No change to entry pricing at £5 for adults and free for children. We are looking at booking 15 layouts (presently 13) and have 9 confirmed traders We have some great layouts booked to attend including Norwich Central - a finescale O gauge layout set in period 1900-1910 in the pre-grouping period and running GER and M&GNR locos and stock. Next Exhibition CANCELLED Sedgemoor Rail Model Railway Show MARCH 21/22 2020, King Alfred School, Highbridge, Somerset TA9 3EE In view of the escalation in Corvid 19 cases it is with regret that we have decided to CANCEL the March Model Railway Show in Highbridge. The health and welfare of our members, exhibitors, traders and visitors is uppermost in our mind at this time. We are also mindful that the show would take place in a school. Clearly the show was not meant to be. I’d like to thank everyone for supporting the re-scheduled show, especially those exhibitors who agreed to attend at short notice. SEDGEMOOR RAIL SPRING SHOW The previously cancelled December show has been re-arranged for March 21/22 2020. King Alfred School, Burnham Road, Highbridge, Somerset TA9 3EE 10am to 4pm each day. Admission £5 for adults. Children under age 16 free. A full exhibition guide will appear on the club website in due course bdmrc.co.uk Details are still being finalised but it is intended to have 15 layouts attending. Some changes to the previously announced December show are necessary due to some exhibitors and traders not being available. Full details will be listed in due course but a full range of scales are already confirmed. A few tasters...... Confirmed as attending. 009 gauge Wantage the award winning layout from Richard Holder. Richard's layout 'Launceston Steam Railway' was voted best in show by the public at our August 2019 show. http://www.richardholder.org.uk/wantage.htm Westwick - An N gauge layout from the Great Western Railway Club in Bristol. The modern image layout recently appeared at Warley and displays a number of custom resprays. As well as the station there is a large freight yard. SHOW CANCELLED Due to a serious outbreak of influenza at the Kings of Wessex school in Highbridge, all external bookings for this weekend have been cancelled by the governing body. 500 pupils have been infected, two of which ended up in hospital. The school in planning to have a deep clean done this weekend and may even close the school. I regret that at this late stage we have no alternative but to cancel the model railway show. My thanks to all the exhibitors and traders who were due to visit us this weekend.
