  1. CV126 is set to 0 and 127 at default 25. The loco stops and restarts after around one second.
  2. It tells me everything is up to date v6.1. I’ve reloaded the sound profile again but cv127 set to 0 produces a very short stop.
  3. Another new experience last night. The quickest way to escape in an orderly fashion from the railway room is to key a signal back to red on each road. All the trains will eventually stop. Once everything is stopped the power is turned off and the escape can be made. A Bluetooth fitted loco was first to stop at the red signal. Within a couple of minutes everything else has stopped. The layout is powered down. The Bluetooth loco is still alive however and times out on its signal stop and is off on a jolly.. luckily it soon ran out of oomph.
  4. I have a couple of versions of the LNER Concrete Articles Catalogue. Gate posts, fence posts, catch pits, signal bases and a bicycle stand!
  5. Love the garden edging. My front garden has this round it. I have the LNER drawings if they are of any use though it looks like you have it under control.
  6. If you can decode this it should give some insight to moves around Towcester…
  7. Is it a feature of other chips? If not they have certainly got something here. I have a few bypass switches fitted in places where I need to sneak past a signal.
  8. Ok I may be a bit slow on the uptake here but f25 shunting mode bypasses the asymmetric brake. Dead handy. Do other decoders do this? LNERGE off searching for loksound and zimo manuals…
  9. The talk of a shuttle is a non starter. The signalling is arranged for direct access from the main. Running a Wizbang - Cambridge with a stop at March will reduce the amount of time the up main is blocked. Wizbang - Peterborough is also possible with the current signalling either direct missing the March stop or a reversal in the up platform to include it. Again there will be pathing problems if a meaningful amount of traffic is proposed.
  10. For me they do everything I want of them bar the soon to be sorted absolute stop with asymmetric Brake. Having another completely untethered controller is handy. The main idea for me was to be able to follow the pick-up freight round the layout and do shunting etc. The signalling via asymmetric brake controls all the other trains.
  11. A most interesting read. Unfortunately i fell asleep reading it. The bluetooth chip 31 got a good workout though. (long day at work not a boring read)
  12. I’ve finally had some time to myself and have fitted another Bluetooth decoder to a Bachmann 47. All was very straightforward and a few tweaks of cv’s etc it’s settled in nicely. Set to run at full speed it was running behind behind something not going as fast so it would get arrested by the asymmetric brake. With cv27 set to 1 I was able to fiddle with cv’s 3 and 4 with it on the move until it behaved itself stopping reliably at signals etc. Being able to do this is fantastic. Still no absolute stop but I believe this is coming. I have a lift out section protected by signals/asymmetric brake. No nipping out the railway room for a leak or a cuppa with that lurking about lol. It still wanders of on a jolly after being stopped for just over four minutes.
  13. I’m sure with 2 where it is unrestricted acceptance would be permitted. Not so with 18 on the other road.
  14. A couple of GN(Southern Area) double track box diagrams. Palmers Green 15 and it's repeater are interesting.
  15. Find where the diverging rails are 6ft apart and measure back sixteen feet six inches though i think it has changed a bit now?
  16. The idea of the Bluetooth decoder is perfect for the way I run my railway. I can follow the pickup goods around and shunt at each location with the controller in my hand. With asymmetric brake I can simply let it go and the train will work its way to wherever I’ve moved to etc following other trains. The problem comes if it gets looped or held up because things have stopped for other reasons. Having one loco that does its own thing simply causes chaos. The class 31 I have the Bluetooth decoder in has been through traps at the end of loops, been involved in some spectacular rear end collisions and generally caused chaos. It’s so near to perfect for what I do apart from its inability to stay stopped.
  17. I will have another play in the near future thanks.
  18. Is there an update to the asymetric brake? I need it to stay stopped when it's told to stay stopped.
