One day my L frame will relinquish its role as Ely Dock Junction and will take control of an enlarged garden railway. If I get a few moments to myself that is.

The frame is now a 36 lever assembly, reduced from 220 odd. The rear gearboxes were never going to be used so I came up with this..

Not being able to use the last lever was bugging me. The cruciform turrets are there for the electric lock tappet but only half a hole for the circuit controller. I found a solution. I'll go take a photo.

I use a mixture of home made and proprietary ABC units. Everything works fine with normal dcc. Another evening trying to sort it out th is evening to no avail. Fiddling with CV 125 makes it stop and reverse. CV 126 seen to have no effect.

I bought my first Bluetooth decoder several weeks back. I had trouble getting the performance I wanted but I am convinced this is more to do with my lack of experience with the new system. It all got put on the back burner as there were other distractions etc. I settled down with it and got to where I though I should be with this product with one major exception. To fit in with the way my layout operates I need the asymmetric brake to work. CV27 is set to 1 and the loco stops at signals as I would expect. Then it starts off again. It will stop at every location it is supposed to but always immediately moves off again. I'm sure this is a simple fix but I can't see which CV to tweak. Any ideas?

A friend has one of these. I keep meaning to photograph it etc and maybe butcher a CCT.

I’m surprised there is not more being said about these wagons. I may have another weathered one come pay day.

My two vans arrived today. It is near impossible to tell them apart from ones purchased earlier. I found the couplings rather too easy to pull out but this was soon sorted very easily with a file.

A definite learning curve. The asymmetric brake is causing me problems but I’m sure I’ve not found the right thing to tweak. Impressed so far. One fundamental problem is my phone locks itself after about fifteen seconds of non activity. I’m sure that is just a case of me finding something to tweak in the phone.

I’m sure I read somewhere HM7000 could be used on an existing DCC layout alongside ordinary DCC fitted locomotives being driven from their respective controllers. Is it in this thread or elsewhere?

The mention of a mute function got me thinking. Factory reset and start again and all is well.

All other sounds work so I’m assuming the speaker is ok.

My sdound fitted 31 no longer makes any engine noise. The horn and all other sounds still play. A zimo sound chip. What have i inadvertently done to it ? Can i get the engine noise back?

You could make this story up.... There is no way in any shape or form that a Protowire telephone concentrator has been on my mind for many years until i saw your post and reply. My immediate thought was yay i've got rid of one of these things..... then i open my emails... to find... someone is offering me another four. How do you want to go about it?

I can sort you out a signalbox telephone concentrator. This will allow lots of phones being able to talk to one place but not act as an exchange.

A more conventional facing point lock I prepared earlier..
