  2. Hi Anthony I'm hoping to go back over the nest few days, I wasn't pleased with some of my setting on my DLSR Camera as I am still leaning the settings on it... most came out to dark, so I resulted back to my back up camera which as a much higher mpix and prefer that on detail work, as I can take photo's from a good distance and still take good photo's. I* will be away visiting family in the midlands from next week, so hopefully I will take the photo's I need, and will upload them from my Laptop that I leave at my families house, I just carry a Two 2TB HDD with my backup photo's, so I can continue to upload hopefully for you. I will back toward the end of March but will still have access to RMWeb if nothing else. Questions I need from you... Conwy... is it just the Railway Station you want photos of...? or more... if so state where about you want photo's of..! Bangor... is it just the Railway Station you want photos of...? or more... and the Carriage and Engine Sheds or whatever is left ..! Penmeanmawr... the Railway Station Building up close, which I already have more of, that you want photos of...? or more... if so state where about you want photo's of..! Including the Loading of Aggregate and conveyor belts etc... Building and track work...? Speak again soon Anthony. Regards Jamie
  3. The APT-P Power Car Instruction Sheet & the Pacer Class 142 as the same Couplings as the Centre Power car of the APT-P which is interesting to note.... Part No. L5313, I have bought several of these for the reason of it pinging off when I first DCC Fitted my APT-P, WestRail642fan You can on the this Old APT Power car, make it dual powered bogie... not sure about the new one until it gets release, but I hope the new Hornby APT Power car will be a better motor and therefore no need to.... 9. Is that the Stair Case leading down at the far end of the viaduct and down on to the beach see Arch 13 Photo (now below) with Water spewing of out,,,? also See Arch 1 (Photo Below) this is the tunnel end of the viaduct there Two sets of ladders that go up the side of the walls... (Above Photo) I notice the ladders at track level that comes up to get over the wall and down on to the grassy area, and then you have the old rusty ladders going down on to the beach area and under the Arches. Are these the ladders you are referring to...? Anthony... I plan to revisit for more photo's and take them from beach looking up... Is there an are in particular you want me to take more photo's of...? Just so I can bare that in mind. Other Members I know... Ray and Polly on the RMWeb who I visit regularly for a cuppa Tea, and they are the close friends I know that live just outside the Bangor area. Ray's ID Tender (I think) and Polly's ID southern42 on the RMWeb to, a lovely couple, l love to nipping over from time to time and have a chat and catch up. Ray and Polly have built there own layout to exhibit at shows etc,... and now they are just starting 0-Gauge layout to... Ray is in to 5 inch gauge and 7 1/4 gauge to..., I've watched ray slowly progress over several months of him building his own 5 inch gauge Steam Loco, impressive to. There is a group that are part have at Llandudno who runs 5 inch & 3 1/5 Inch combined track at West Shore Halt, which they use to pull visitors around the track to raise money for there club...etc, Ray tells me, the Spring Tide is the best chance to drone the Viaduct, once a month... as the sea is out at it's furthest and therefor more chance to get what I need Photo wise, and within the Regulations of Droning etc... so all in the pipeline Anthony... I still can't believe that viaduct as been there all this time and I never know till I read your Thread and started to follow you. Take care till we speak again... Regards Jamie
  10. Hi Anthony Glad you are OK, I was beginning to think, Anthony been licking them wounds for 3 days now, how big are those mosquitoes, they must be huge... lol Thank you for your kind words and I have really enjoyed finding the photo's you want, to help you get your layout modelled just right. Right... I try and answer these in sections, so not to get mixed up, that's for my sake, not yours... lol I believe, West of the Viaduct is the Signal, Hut and the Derelict Old Engine shed. I parked my car on the Llanfairfehan side of Pen-y-clip tunnel, and walk up the dual carriageway heading in Penmaenmawr direction, and on my way I first pasted the Signal and Hut and the old Engine Shed. The track then narrowed to a wall either side of the tracks and then on to the viaduct then more or less straight into the tunnel and on through Penmaenmawr Station etc,. as in the photo below, you can see the signal in tree (not literally...lol), then the small hut behind the signal and the Old Engine Shed, by the bus stop and the Car that had broken down... then we will come to the Viaduct and the Tunnel (Pen-y-clip Tunnel) and out through Penmaenmawr and on to Conwy, Llandudno, and on to Chester in the UK as appose to North Wales. A bit more dumping ground from the past I think... Close Up of the container and what looks like sand bang, or some find of sea defence maybe... but obviously as been there for some time... Unless Views would know bags of... old bags of cement, sand bags etc,... (I don't really know on this one...) but I am still one my way walking towards the Viaduct... Below Photo... Just out of shot of the wall behind the container... the track seems to go down to the sea or rocks/beach... then we have wall that goes right the way along to meet up with the Viaduct... just as the railways goes round to the RIGHT, then over the Viaduct. Regards Jamie
  11. Hi I hope these photo show it clearer... john, The photo below, shows the point in which the from or this side of the Cab Door and all what we see in the photo below is all because of the several curves the the APT-P Front as, and having a part in changing the colour and how our eyes / camera perceives the colour to be, so we think there are looking at two colour on the base of the APT... that and rhnrhn says doesn't help explain but is also correct, and the photos in my above post that as 370005 that as been cleaned which backs up what rhnrhn said... The Two Photo's below, the slight curve inwards is kind of affected from within the photos, but is it like a 3 fold curve as the top half (Mainly the Yellow) is a different slop / curve again and then from the Bottom colour and a bit into the yellow from the bottom... that's the part that appears to show different on every photo and I can see why you ... (and whoever else that may see it) may see it as two different colours, and not a change as to how light or our eyes/camera changes the colour we see it as, even though it is still the same colour along the length of the bottom Cream/off-white... whatever colour it is... (overly exaggerated... how light bends when it hits water... I can't explain it, as good as I would like) Below... is the part that is effected in curving... Below... The White Line to the colour at the base of the APT-P... Also, the Quarter Windows on each side of the main front windscreen, again due to the slight curves in the body, the glass as the same continuation, photos don't do it justice which is another story but are on the same lines as to how we are explaining here, but that is another story. (the Second Photo Down in this Post, is visible as you don't see the Third Edge of the glass, if that makes sense) Regards Jamie
  12. Hi John I came across this photo on the internet, not one of my photo's... This seems to have been cleaned just after the door to halfway along the Bogie frame opening... APT-P aka Rob... would you happen to know who it is by...? I have three names, I think all are the same person, but I cannot confirm this... Below... Is the same Photo as above but cut closer, to point out better... In this photo below, from Cab Door or just to the Left of the Cab door (by Red Square at the base) coming forwards to the Nose Front, that part is turning inwards very slightly and down towards to the APT Head Lamps, I've been searching for the right photo or Photos, so to try and explain, where the light on most APT photos seems to show the same, where I don't think its a change of colour, but certainly not the same White like we see in the White Line. it's the way the light changes the colour due to being set at a different angle... and every Photo's that are not taken by me, kind of shows you the same as what you have pointed out John... I agree with how "rhnrhn" explains it in part to... (as seen in the photo below) Can not be sure who the Photo is by as I've seen it several times and not sure who the Original is by Dave Concox or Maybe Cancox or David Hancox (or a combination of... sorry I can't be more specific...) I will modify this Post if I know the correct name. Thanks again... Jamie

  14. Hi Rob & All... Interesting... Rob, You have 370006 with ><InterCityAPT (My Photo show the opposite 370006 as no Thin Red line and Plain ><InterCityAPT) and Your 370003 as the Plain Black ><InterCityAPT (My Photo show the opposite 370003 as ><InterCityAPT taken in 2018). Regards Jamie
  15. Hi All.. It as taken me till now to find the photo I was after... out my couple thousand plus photo's of each time I have visited Crewe Heritage Centre... I had to just sit and go through the Crewe Photos, I know I had saw it the photo in my vast collection of the APT-P, and it was from way back in January 2010. Well I can confirm that second man, had to cover more than just the Tea Cup Holder... PLUS... Boiling the Kettle Duties... Funny, out of all my visit's to the APT-P Including DJM Open Day, and several Crewe Open Days since, this is just an empty space now... but at least we know what went in there now... This is right behind the Second Seat, the Cab Door is to the Left Out and the Centre Door through to the main Seating Area is to the Right... Jamie
  16. Hi All I noticed, in Penmaenmawr Railway Station... The nearest me, (Llandudno / Conwy / Chester Line) side of the Track is Concreate sleepers Yet, on the other side, (Llanfairfechan / Bangor / Holyhead Line) there still seems to be the old Wooden Sleepers. Close Ups of the Track and Sleepers... Close-Up... Llandudno / Conwy / Chester Line Track are Concrete Sleepers... Close-Up... Llanfairfechan / Bangor / Holyhead Line Track are still the Old Wooden Sleepers... Regards Jamie

  18. Hi All Below... Photo is take in Penmaenmawr and the Aggregate Loader Building and its difficult to get photo's from this side of the building due to the carriageway... I last saw this being used in 2009 by Class 66 Freightliner and Freightliner box type looking Wagons, I have more to follow on this building as I need to visit to take more photo's of the Building and the Conveyor Belts System which runs up through the village and in to the Aggregate / Quarry. Regards Jamie
  19. These are a few taken at the far end of Penmaenmawr at the Llandudno End or Conwy look back towards Bangor, as you look across at the Penmaenmawr Viaduct seen in the bottom Right-Hand corner and give a better view of the Car Viaduct to, despite the distance. Below Photo... if you follow the Railway line (Extreme Left & Nearest to me) the White dot you can see under thr railway bridge in the distance is the Signal box just as the railway curves round to go through Penmaenmawr Railway Station. Below Photo's... are of the Pen-y-clip Tunnel and the right and below the railways Tunnel with the Penmaenmawr Viaduct seen after that... Close Ups... The Larger Road Viaduct can be clearly seen with the Railway Viaduct in front below... (I altered the Photo to make it brighter or clearer to see) Close Ups...
