  1. Hi Funny on the Above Post Photo..., the Photo above with the signal facing the second Avalanche tunnel, I thought the railway track when through the tunnel straight, due to earlier photo's of zooming in from a far and I through the second Avalanche tunnel, made me think the railway entered the tunnel straight, which it may well do, once it enters the second Avalanche tunnel, and that's what I all so thought when I was taking the Signal / Tunnel Photo in the Above Post... how wrong could I have been... I came across original stock wall that seemed to go off to one side and raised up above track level, when I got there, I discovered another two bridges fairly close to each other and between two narrow stone walls (is seems like it make have been a small tunnel as between the to narrow walls was an inlay for Workmen to stand in when I train was approaching) there was a single Track/Car Bride with another Unused Slimmer Bridge Possibly a Large Pipe over the slimmer bridge, but below I was standing in the centre of the bridge and looking towards second tunnel or Avalanche Tunnel.... Regards Jamie
  2. Hi This is getting as close as one can get and looking towards second tunnel or Avalanche Tunnel.... The two below was right where I was standing at track level but kind of looking away from the Tunnel, so out of the tunnel then passed me or these two photo below... Regards Jamie

    New Hornby Rocket

Hi WisTramwayMan Hatton's have done it again... sadly, they have not learnt from previous mistakes, which just makes me wonder, how other do they do this to... when you have Pre-Orders... You pre-order, in order to make sure they have some kind of guarantee of having the Item you want, is not a pre-order guaranteeing you of the item on order, (Obviously not) Hatton's done exactly the same to me, on the RHTT after being on pre-order for well over a year. I rang to speak to Hatton's the week before they arrived in stock, as I knew I was away from the date on the email the week before I went away, so rang them beforehand to notify them, not to send the item out until after 16th... Hatton's said... Yes, that is OK, your order will be safe, and a note had been put on your file, to say not to release until the date I stated. When I got back two days earlier than I stated to Hatton's, I was going through my emails, when I read a very similar email to WisTramwayMan saying we don't have one in stock to fulfil your Pre-Order as we have sold them all. I was like... eh, what.... I have now lost all confidence in Hatton's since then, and a reputation is far easier to loose than to gain back, so for my own Hornby Rocket, I have ordered off another well known shop. I would have thought Hatton's would have learnt their lesson from the RHTT thinking it's a one off thing, but seems they are still repeating their same mistakes, over and over...! Surely it is better to under estimate and over deliver, from any manufacturer like Hornby, in hope you can please twice as many when the orders arrives from the manufacturer. Hatton's need to review the way they do Pre-Orders, learn from your mistakes, not repeat them over again and again. It is bad for the WisTramwayMan to miss out on the Rocket, and I feel greatly for WisTramwayMan more so... when Hatton's have done it already before to me, and is this just becoming another statistic of Hatton's regularly making the same mistakes, over promising and under delivering, I think It's worse that Hatton's do not listen to customer feedback, however long since the RHTT was released till now with the Hornby Rocket Pack. Shop elsewhere in the future learn from your own mistake and mine, is the only advise I can give... I really hope, you get your hands on a Rocket WisTramwayMa. Regards Jamie
  5. Hi Anthony Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments, I appreciate you input and help, and also to help you accomplish what you need... I will work on the above details and thank you for your in-depth information to explain where you need photos of, that will help me to. Yes, I agree, I find it hard to believe you are in Australia, and I am not sure how many times you have seen the places you are modelling in person for real, but I find what you are doing from that distance, truly inspirational, when you consider, other people that you show in your club/group have never seen the place in person, possibly ever to. That is where I have been more than happy to help those ones, to picture the place that you are modelling in the form of photos that Google Earth can't reach and help piece together the modelling area's you are doing, and can help bring the three place's together and get a true understanding of what it looks like in real and therefore can relate to the real Photo's to your Modelling of... Speak again soon Anthony, take care... off to Bangor now... Warmest of regards to you and Family and your fellow modellers... Jamie

I'm good to bud, thanks for asking, Do these photos to help out with Anthony out is getting me out and about, which a good, and taking my usual photo's, you know how it is Neil, when someone looks suspect taking photo's of obscure things on the platform... that will be MEEEE... lol It's that announcements I hate to hear.... If you see something that isn't right or doesn't look right, please contact a member of staff or contact Transport Police on the 0800 (blah blah, blah). If you See it, Say It, Sorted it...!. or something along those words... Then I think,,, how many people are now talking to staff because I'm taking photo's of odd things.... haha... 12. Are they, that will be great to see the siding being re-used, You still with Colas Rail or you gone back with Freighttliner...? I had photo's of Freighttliner Class 66 in penmeanmawr back in 2009, up loaded earlier in this thread, you will see...! Which as far I am I know, was the last time I saw any usage... so it will be great to bring it back to working order.... Jamie
  13. Hi Neil How are you doing mate... Just helping Anthony who is modelling, Conwy Station, Penmeanmawr Station and Bangor Station and the Penmeanmawr viaduct, which till I came across this Anthony and this Thread, never knew it existed, till now that is, so been out and about to get some detailed photo's to help model the area... I still need to pop over to Birkenhead MRC to see you all, I keep saying I will... but I will mate... Family doing OK I hope bud... Jamie
  14. Hi These are 2009 Photo's look back at the Second Tunnel or Avalanche Tunnel/Cover first ... Then First Tunnel aka Viaduct Tunnel... (hope that makes sense to you... ,but also seem to get the view looking right through both tunnels... Taken from Penmeanmawr side looking towards the Second Tunnel (First) or Avalanche Tunnel/Cover... but does appear to see right through both tunnels... Not sure if this is just the angle the photo was taken at, as to why we can not see through both Tunnels like in the Top Two Photo's... I will revisit this area again over the weekend and take better photo's of the Tunnels as there were 2009 and my old camera, as we see it from this side or Penmeanmawr side I should say. Regards Jamie
  15. Hi Some taken from my other camera... Photo's of Penmeanmawr taken from the same point look back across... Regards Jamie
  16. Hi Neil Great photo, and good weathering to... Hope you are keeping well bud. Jamie
  17. Hi Anthony Just coming back to your Comment of the Photo that I took from the far end of Penmeanmawr, looking back across back at the Viaduct, See Photo below... In the Above Photo, it you can see small Road Sign (Orange/Yellow) right by Peny-y-clip Road Tunnel... well, in the photo's Below is were I had taken the Photo's, See Photo's Below... Looking directly down at the Avalanche Tunnel/Cover.... Hope these help, we are quiet high up at this point, as I look down at the gap between the Railway Tunnel (near Viaduct) and I'd say about 50 feet or so, maybe Less before the Tracks Re-Emerging from the First Tunnel, seen at the one end of the Viaduct and the Tracks Re-Entering the Second Tunnel or Avalanche Tunnel/Cover... I do need to re-visit this area, in hope I get the other end of the First Tunnel mouth before it the Second Tunnel or Avalanche Tunnel/Cover... Sometimes, I am just not satisfied in my own work... and need more evidence... lol (I can here my Brother says... Jay, did you take a photo of the Tunnel Mouth as I shake my head in disgust lol) Below... you can make out the full length of the Second Tunnel or Avalanche Tunnel/Cover... I will be out of the next few days for Bangor Station but mainly the old sheds that are still standing, along with Conwy Station and Penmeanmawr Conveyor Building and close-up to... If you feel that are more photo's need in more detail Anthony, just say what of and which part you need more information of, photo's wise as I may already have it... Regards Jamie
  18. Hi Lezz Yes, that spot halfway up the field, takes me ages to climb up to that level, but I have to say, its one of the best view in all of Conwy Area, ,ind you, i can not talk for a week, when I get to the top haha lol, If may help loose a few pounds, but the end result, it's worth the photo, especially if there is a steam train or Special on its way to Holyhead, but I have to allow plenty of time to get the right spot. Sometime is I know the WAG train is running I have done it, on a weekend only as its dark at the time it passes in the week days, due to having to make it down to Cardiff for the start of a working day, and again at night when it returns, it doesn't leave Cardiff till around 5pm-6pm so it will pass Bangor at about 21:50pm, but it's the only train my brother will catch due to the WifI and Buffet Services along with its limited stops... whenever he visits me. Thank you for your input in my photo's Lezz, I just hope they are of some use to others modelling the area... Regards Jamie

  22. Hi Josh and welcome, Yes, I like Paul aka pharrc20, I find the Pylons very interesting, and it's all I have ever known them as to, is Pylons to honest, Josh... (Sorry, if that offends you when you are in this field of work and know them by Name...lol) I am no expert in this field but learning from the experts certainty helps from ones on this thread, when we have a few on here who work in this field, I guess that is quiet literately... haha... Doh! Regards Jamie
  23. Hi Agree GordonC I would have thought with 4 Powered Wheels would be OK for the most part, but for Helix and inclines etc, going for Dual Powered is a must, i think. Although Hornby seem to thing One Power cars is sufficiently adequate to put 14-Car Sets with One Dummy and One Powered (ND-M)., I think I will play safe and go for Dual Powered extra Powered Car, then if I decide to run a lesser formation like 2+2+6, I can stick the Dummy Car in which I will have a spare or certainly spares for the future. Regards Jamie
