  1. One thing to watch (and it is a subtle thing) is that the OC repaints had did not have black headcodes and 47487 did. OC use the Executive Dark Grey in the headcodes.
  2. The sides of the exhaust are vertical.
  3. Very, very good. Could the second one be done without the cab lights on?
  4. Ddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  5. I am clearly dead, although it did make me wince.
  6. That second shot is of '617 Craig. '517 had a blue roof and the ETH socket was mounted on the cab front rather than the buffer beam.
  7. From memory, most of the 47/7s that headed south got painted first (47705 and 47714 certainly were ) and whilst in Scotland they did stray but I cannot imagine one escaping as far as PZ. EDIT: Curiousity has the better of me. I can see that 47703 went to Poole and 47704/6 did some Waterloo-Exeter services whilst still in ScR colours but 47707 definintely got painted very quickly. 47701 did not get painted straight away but nothing so far to suggest it did anything but NSE services. EDIT 2: I have found a photo of 47717 in ScR colours at Newcastle working a PZ service but nothing to say it went all the way.
  8. Dddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhh! (Apologies for the use of lower case).
  9. The shot of the two 50 cabs should go into that thread. This is really impressive and something that I really should try harder to re-create. The interior shots are just at the 'right' angle and that makes a world of difference. Good work fella.
  10. I have one Sean that I won't be using the Stones exhaust from. PM me if you are interested.
  11. Before I go hunting, this is what comes off the top of the head. As always, the final choice is yours as to how far you go (if it looks right etc...). D1502 has different cantrail grilles to the bodyshells produced. 1500-1509 had a single vertical bar in the centre. The rest of the class has extra bars fitted to their grilles. Boiler-wise, this one had a Spanner MkIII fitted so, it had a round exhaust. D1673 (I think) was air braked from new so would have had Serck louvres from Day 1 (if not, very soon after). Clayton boiler on this one so big square exhaust. D1611 here. Three part grilles and a Spanner boiler (round exhaust).
  12. As Jon said, fire away, we'll have you an answer in no time.
  13. No Jon, 47035 (and the others that you mentioned) would not have been ETH-fitted. The Generators were (47401-47420) but anything that is numbered 470XX, 471XX, 472XX or 473XX would not have ETH cables. The Bachmann model of '035 would suit 47411-47420 if you were doing an ETH-fitted one.
  14. You can get the ETH cables off but they will resist you. A lot.
  15. You could be in luck Jon, as we have taken the louvres off of 47105. We have them in store so I may be able to get some shots next time I'm up at the railway. Tom - I haven't forgotten about those bits of '376 if you still want them measured. EDIT: Try this for starters: ClicketyClick
  16. Alan Finch went to Reading as part of the dispatch team and was there for some years. Smashing bloke but I cannot for the life of me remember where he went after that.
  17. I don't know... with some suitable weathering to show up the "factory-fitted rust" ('twas the style at the time) I think they would fit in... just.
  18. I think we have been here before and last time, I don't recall it ending well...
  19. I think he's saying that the wheel diameter is a set figure (3ft9ins, or 3.75ft if you prefer). Using this, you can assume that the wheel in the photo is that size and find out a scale from there. Then, use that scale to measure the bufferbeam fittings in the photo and scale them up. Or, I should have the measurements next weekend.
  20. It looks like they have tooled up a square boiler exhaust as well, which is nice.
