  1. Hi Dicky, 714 is arriving with Batch 2 in Q2, almost finished production! Hi @SouthernBlue80s, It is certainly a condition that is in our future. Cheers! Fran
  2. Hi folks, Another batch will happen when we sell out of the first batch! Encourage us by buying another one currently available; https://www.accurascale.com/collections/gwr-7800-manor-class Cheers! Fran
  3. Hi folks, Just a bit more info about the undersize wheels and scale size replacements; for those modelling finescale with our scale-sized drop-in wheelsets we will be providing an alternative bogie pivot that will make the bogie-body distance accurate, as well as different brake parts to account for the different position of the wheels and the larger wheels. We are also looking at offering full size 00 wheelsets too for those of you with much more gentle curves. Of course, an alternative bogie pivot hasn't been done before commercially (as far as I'm aware), and we are currently testing it to make sure it works on a commercial product. Of course, if it doesn't, it's not something we can proceed with and offer on a commercial basis, so please don't hold us to it. However, if we are satisfied it can work as it should then this is something that will be on the finished production models. Once we are done going through it we will present our findings and let you know, hopefully with some visual demonstration. The EE design of tucked in wheelsets with wheels and flanges above the bogie sideframe and tucked into the body side makes them the most challenging diesels to do in 00. The 37 was fine due to the body profile not interfering with them on curves of R2. The Deltic is the worst, the tapering in at the ends, coupled with the bodyside tumblehome tucking in is a nightmare, and 50 is somewhere in between. Not quite the severity of tucking in and the tumblehome of the Deltic, but not far off and certainly not as generous as the 37 But then again, we like the hardest challenges and working out ways to overcome. I hope that gives some idea on our thinking. Cheers! Fran
  4. Hi folks, For those who did not see the update, it's available here: https://www.accurascale.com/blogs/news/black-diamond-to-technicolour-ner-20t-hopper-decorated-samples Apologies for not getting it posted on here yesterday, I was out of office. A taster... Cheers! Fran
  5. Hi Derek, Yes indeed, both the Banana vans and the Mark 2bs are in our warehouse and we are currently prepping them for dispatch! If you want a flavour of what to expect, our Northern Ireland Railways ones have been here a few weeks now and some videos of them in action have been posted: Cheers! Fran
  6. Hi folks, Just to offer a caveat on this; this is an early decorated sample from last year. The factory used the wrong body assembly for the sample, which as has been correctly observed, uses Mirrlees exhaust ports and features the incorrect bodyside door. Rest assured we were fully aware of this and the final models will have the correct details where they should be! Cheers! Fran
  7. Hi @zr2498, I can confirm that there will be another run of the Mark 5s in the future, particularly the sleepers. Cheers! Fran
  8. Hi folks, This is indeed the first member of our third production run of our Class 37s. Look out for more news on the rest in the coming months! The SRPS have been in touch and confirmed that they are "flying out the door" so we would recommend getting your order in with them soon if you fancy one. Cheers! Fran
  9. Hi @tarifa, Some people have had issues, the same with any other model, and there are many thousands that have had nothing but enjoyment and pleasure out of them, again just like any model. Our lifetime warranty for the model will give you that piece of mind that your model will be looked after, but of course as part of your statutory rights you can always return it 30 days after delivery if you are not satisfied too for a full refund. Personally, I think you'll love it. Cheers! Fran
  10. Hi folks, We will be unveiling the decorated samples of the AB within the next week and this will show the cab arrangements of each loco. We will also do driver and fireman packs for both the AB and P class. Cheers! Fran
  11. Hi Fred, This is something we will look at for future runs, and if it's physically possible to include, we would like to. When starting out a brand new model, you have a blank canvass to include these options should you so wish, and plan the tooling accordingly to facilitate space. With small locos already tooled such as these two, it's a much bigger challenge to retrofit these items, but we will certainly investigate and we always enjoy a challenge! Cheers! Fran
  12. Hi folks, As per our original announcement, the warwells, P and AB tanks were already taking pre-orders, so in order to preserve anyone who had a pre-order already with Hattons, and to keep the set price the same (warwell) or as close to the price set by Hattons (P and AB) we have to sell this run direct only. However, future runs of these models will be offered to trade like the rest of our range. Cheers! Fran
  13. Hi everyone, With our main range of decorated O gauge Ruston and Hornsby 88DS locomotives unveiled earlier this week, we can now unveil our "Accurascale Exclusive" special edition model; 655/29/38 in Tarmac livery! Check out more photos, spec and the history of this very attractive little loco in our latest news post on our website, including ordering info with the model available direct only via our website: https://www.accurascale.com/blogs/news/boy-from-the-black-stuff-tarmac-ruston-88ds-latest-accurascale-exclusive Cheers! Fran
  14. Hi @Wickham Green too, Apologies, any time I give out logistics info it comes back round and punches me in the back of the head. Correct, in the same container as the Mark 2b coaches, so docks this week, lands in the warehouse next week. Cheers! Fran
  15. Hi @Colin_McLeod, Thanks very much for sharing! Should any Accurascale customers be getting jealous, I can confirm that the ship carrying their coaches docks later this week, and after transfer to our warehouse, checks and counting into stock is complete, dispatch will commence later next week. Cheers! Fran
  16. Oh look, they just "happen" to be hauled by a 40! 🤣 Subliminal pitching right there! Cheers! Fran
  17. Hi everyone, Just a heads up, due to a VAT glitch (Was not added correctly in the import) we need to delete some orders and re-import them, Your order is completely safe, so please do not be alarmed if you get a cancellation email from us shortly. Thanks for your understanding as always! Cheers! Fran
  18. HI @Pre Grouping fan, VAT has been left off in error, the joys of systems! It will be added back onto the orders shortly. Order transfer still ongoing folks, will take the rest of the day and possibly tomorrow to sort out completely. Cheers! Fran
  19. Hi @WCML100, To maintain the Hattons price points (and sadly in the case of the AB and P, we had to increase them) and secure the already existing pre-orders for Hattons customers we are only able to offer these production runs direct only. Future production runs may be offered to retail partners, but naturally that will incur a higher price to include retailer margin. We shall assess that when the time comes! Hi @BVMR21, Many thanks! We will assess the models in the future for any further tooling changes or spec changes. Fitting sound from the factory for instance is one we would like to do in the future, but a lot of work and investigating will have to go into the models first to see what is and what is not possible. Cheers! Fran
  20. Hi everyone, We have set up a thread in the Accurascale section of the website to discuss and answer any queries you may have, or discuss further, so please feel free to post there Alternatively, reach out to us via sales@accurascale,com Thanks, Fran

  22. Hi @Southernman46, That is correct, your pre-order will be imported onto our system and given priority. Cheers! Fran
  23. Hi everyone, Our hobby has been rocked by the news that Hattons Model Railways, a stalwart in the industry since the 1940s, has decided to close their doors for the last time. The familiar parcels wrapped in twine that many of us remember for many years have gone, along with one of the absolute pioneers of British retail with mail order, online sales and an eye for a shrewd deal along the way. We may only be around for 6 years now, so we only had the pleasure of working for Hattons in their very final years. But, what a pleasure that has been, and a relationship that has educated us as well as helped us to preach the gospel that is Accurascale to even more modellers. From top to bottom, they have been fantastic to deal with and we hope that their staff and management go on to have great success in new roles and careers. But, some of Hattons will live on, and we are delighted and privileged to be able to play a small role in securing their legacy. As you may already know, acquired the tooling of the Hattons Originals Class 66 locomotives and announced a whole new run with some added Accurascale ingredients at Model Rail Scotland 2023. The production is now almost complete on those locomotives and they ship in mid February. Utilising that existing relationship with Hattons, we have also been able to secure the future of other "Hattons Originals" toolings, beginning with the OO gauge Warwell wagons, The P Class 0-6-0 tank engine and the Andrew Barclay 0-4-0 tank locomotive. These three models will now join the Accurascale range forevermore! All three models are currently in different stages of production, with Hattons taken pre-orders on all three projects before they closed. We will update you on each project separately in future, but for now the current status of each project is below; OO Warwells The Warwells are complete and will leave the factory in China just after Chinese New Year in late February, landing in stock with us in April 2024. The price of these will be maintained the same as the Hattons price of £25 each. Our bundle deal of 10% if you buy two or more applies along with free UK Postage and Packaging and 3% cashback on all orders. Our new "Accuracare" lifetime warranty will apply to these wagons too! Trains4u will receive their special limited edition commission as planned. Please contact them for further details on those. Andrew Barclay 0-4-0 ST We're delighted to report that these locomotives are at decoration stage which we will reveal in the coming weeks. Production is slated to begin after the Chinese New Year break and delivery will be in Q4 2024. Unfortunately, with rising costs, the original price of £85 was impossible to maintain, so these locomotives are now priced at £99.95 each. However, with free postage and packaging and 3% cashback on all orders we can still soften the increase with some added value. They will also be covered by our new lifetime "Accuracare" warranty. P Class These locomotives are also at the decoration stage which we will also reveal very soon. Production is also slated to begin post Chinese New Year with delivery also in Q4 of 2024. These are likely to arrive after the Andrew Barclay tanks. As per the Andrew Barclay tanks, the P will also see an increase in price to £99.95, but with free postage and packaging and 3% cashback on all orders we can still soften that increase, along with covering them with our new lifetime "Accuracare" warranty. Your Hattons Pre-Orders So, if you have pre-ordered Warwells, P or Andrew Barclay, what happens next?Hattons will contact you asking if you have any objections with them moving your pre-orders to us. If you do not, then we will need you to register an account on our website and log your payment details for your pre-order. This is so we can safeguard your pre-order so you do not miss out. If you do not register after 2 weeks, we will consider your pre-order cancelled and we will offer the model for sale to other customers. Next Steps And Placing Pre-Orders As we are so deep into the production process on the P Class and the Andrew Barclay tank locos we cannot add any further locomotives to the production run, or make any further changes such as offering DCC Sound Fitted options. The specification will remain the same as Hattons originally specified when they first announced this new production run of locomotives. These models will be for sale exclusively on our website only in order to protect historic pre-orders and keep prices as low as we can in line with Hattons. As mentioned earlier, the commission of Warwells by Trains4u will remain in place and will be delivered to Trains4u in April as planned. Please see them for more information about those models. And finally, the question many of you may be asking; what other Hattons Originals models have joined our line up? Well, you will have to keep an eye on us for future announcements later this year and beyond to find out!
