Hi Jon, just been catching up with your Brush 4 project and what can I say but simply stunning. The time and effort that you have put in has definitely been worth it as you now have a truly remarkable model of a class 47.
Great work.

Cracking work as usual Jon, looking forward to seeing this one fresh from the works!
-
Very, very impressive modelling Jon. Love the inspection pit lights, quality!

Will be following this one Pugs, how annoying is it having to fill in the seam line at both ends?!!!
I remember having to do that job on my 24 TEAs.....yeah I really enjoyed that!
Look forward to seeing them weathered.

Superb! She is looking mighty fine......

Looks good, as previously mentioned I cannot understand it myself but it is true, one side always turns out better! Why is that?!!!
The side with the Corus silver door is the best anyway!
Which name plates did you use, Fox or Shawplan? Cannot remember which ones I used but they did cover the whole printed version.

Hi Will Vale,
I have to confess that I don’t visit the blogs section that often, should really look at it a lot more! I was looking at your wagon weathering and have to say good work Sir, great weathering.
Excellent work on 014, she is looking really good. As already mentioned said beast does indeed have the Corus silver door off of 006 and the latter has a black door!
I am sure that you have already noticed 014 has an oval buffer at one end as well as an EWS maroon wiper plate!
The bogie pipes are predominantly white but with some brown too on one bogie.
If you look at this photo of 040 you can see the brown pipe work:

If you have a spare moment here are some photos of my model 014:
Will definitely be following your blog from now on!

Superb Sir!

Agree with the previous post absolutely stunning, love the block of flats top modelling.
The road effect looks really good, Jim has come up with a great method there and you have mastered it perfectly. It certainly does look good.

Quality, absolute quality!

Looking good Pugs. You should have her finished in a couple of months!
It is also very satisfying making your own transfers.
-
You are a weak man Pugs!
I look forward to seeing this machine finished.
To be honest if JLTRT were to produce a 56 or 60 I too would succumb!

Hi Pugs,
I look forward to seeing how your 455 turns out and what weathering techniques the master uses!
-
Looking good Mark, I have to agree with Pete, the shot of 37422 does look really good. Would really like a model of that one too.
Nice to see a 60 on the Alcan!

Lovely Grids!
Excellent work on the Yellow Banana, wouldn't mind one of those myself. Hopefully Hornby will do one at some point.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the info. on the bogies, I think I may have to get a couple of pairs of the S-kits ones to give a bit of variety.
Not sure if they are blooms or billets?!!
Last night I put together another three wagon bodies taking the total to 15. Only another 8 to go..........bought another kit the other day to make it up to a round 23!
Hopefully over the weekend I can have all of the bodies together and start adding the bits and pieces.

Hi Simon, yes I think this should keep me quiet for a few weeks! Will then have to sort out some slabs to go on them.
James, not sure if it is commitment or madness!
Melly, as yet they have not produced the bogie in one-piece but believe they have plans to.
Thanks Danny, I too am looking forward to seeing them finished and trundling around the layout. Although there is a lot of work to be done first??
