Just standing in the lane chatting to the doctor when I spied the Pannier coming to a halt for the signal. So quick as a flash I whipped out my box Brownie and took a snap... Then back at the dark room I messed about with some chemicals....
-
Whist standing on the roof of the derelict house I took this picture of the auto train waiting at the signal. Here are two versions for you to peruse....

I once dropped my flat cap in a field full of cows.. I tried on 10 before I found my it…… Silly joke Give me a pat on the head and send me to stand in the corner of the room in a lighthouse???

WKT This where we of this morning. Paint and varnish not cured so it is getting marked very easily so propose to leave for a minimum of 24, ideally 48 hrs (if I can!!!) to fully cure. I shall get on with the Toad next as this will have more than one job to do, then the chemical tank wagon..... Decided to paint the pump Vallejo Black/Grey but with some oily steel added to give it a metallic feel...seems to have worked then over painted with graphite in a water mix and when dry buffed with a stiff brush...

With a shotgun?.....what's left might be juicy!

We think it was as there is a name cast on the base but we can’t make it out in the picture I have. Swindon would have done working drawings on how they would fit it to and convert the tenders.

Through the English countryside we do rumble, across a viaduct over tranquil brook we travel until we hit that 'pesky' signal where our meanderings do stop! So we patiently wait.......

Thanks Not a problem, we all have weed problems on our layouts so anything to help....? I’m sure Mr Wolf would be happy to as well.

Many thanks for the sketches, without them as a basis I would have been scratching my head for a bit longer and probably ending up with a less convincing design emerging. I have changed it a bit to take in the 'staggered crossroad' of large pipes leading to the spray bar that I could see in the few pictures I and plus the base of the pump was altered to what I could conveniently build. Now to work out what colour to paint it........small problem compared with the build!!! Thanks again for your efforts and help.

WKT Well this pump went better that I was expecting. A few tweaks and changes from Mr Wolf’s design but mainly for appearance and ease of building. Once I worked out an easy way to bend and hold those large pipes it was a case of careful bending, cutting and more importantly holding whilst being worked on……..fingers don’t half get in the way!!! Leaving now for the glue to set and a few more bits to add but the bulk is done.

Most definitely not…so sit back and watch the scenery!!!!

Even the delivery of the pump for the WKT gets held up by the 'pesky' signal. Not bad for an afternoons work, called it a day now as a bit boss eyed..!

Of course but I think they might derail the train due to their relative scale sizes…..
