Quiet start to the day Encombe Town looks peaceful.

Its funny what you don't spot with the naked eye until you look at a picture... Sometimes it can be very obvious.... Very obvious now you see it????

Here are panniers five and six now all numbered and crewed. Posing for a picture on the main they have now, officially, been registered on the LM loco roster and ready for action.... 2776, open cab version, is a static loco and will be one of my photo props. 8787 is fully operational and was chugging along on the rolling road just prior to these pictures. Just one job to do and that is fit the spectacle brass windows to the 2776 cab that i am waiting to arrive from Phoenix.

General Information Announcement For many, many months now I have been ploughing through this thread from page 1 to reinstate all pictures lost before the hard drive collapse of March 2022. Yesterday evening I completed the task..... In summary: All my main pictures have now been reinstated (as they are saved on my computer as well as the cloud). Most of the mobile phone ones have been as well but there are gaps as sometimes I would take and post whilst in the railway room but not save. Naturally not be able to do the 3rd party pictures.

Looking from the farmyard past the gate down the lane that goes over the brook. I can confirm that the Colonel is fishing with his rod and not standing there try to fill the brook!! Looks odd from this angle?

6th pannier well on the way to completion. Now 8787 as this was the only relevant number that 247 Developments had in stock so that is what she became. No issues for me as so long as it was 87xx I was happy. Just buffer beam numbers to add, some weathering to the red and of course the necessary fire irons? Crew in make up at the moment and then they can be added. Is this the last, well who knows as I thought one was enough, then two and then so on to six.......!

And now for those of you suffering with Pannier Withdrawal Symptoms our local photographer (Ken Dobetter) has caught these three whilst waiting for a train....

What... Missing the Panniers already? Here's some flowers to help you get over the loss......

Encombe Town station and the toilet/store outbuilding.... Looks like a suspended barrel, need to relocate that!

Thanks for the compliment with regard to Pendon. With regard to the garage well not really but I know its there and I enjoyed building it.

Fowler ploughing engine would look good but I went for a crocodile because it could take 45tons. Side loaded using metal skids and a winch.

Just a Pannier, going about its business....

Or they could just blow the other door off!!! In sympathy……

As requested I delved back into the records and found these pictures of the garage and adjoining store which where taken during the construction of the The Unicorn PH. And finally placed on the layout but now with the doors added. March 2021 is the date???

Pannier number six is now ready for some serious weathering Though I do have an issue which someone might be able to help with. Cab side plates. In the past I have used Modelmasters but I have had issues with them, still owed some ED transfers…! Looking for another source that looks the same. Any advice would be most helpful.
