Arthur
Concrete fans rejoice, Plastikote Suede has returned, Praise be. Here on their UK website, http://plasti-kote.co.uk/inspiration And available on eBay, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122170687634 cheaper on Amazon, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Plasti-Kote-Spray-Paint-Plastic-Light-x/dp/B01M09AZOU and no doubt elsewhere. All three original colours appear to be offered, tan, mid-brown and chocolate. The label is new but I've used it and the formulation seems exactly the same. . I've just ordered several and have been billed 99p postage. Seems almost too good to be true...

Guest
This is a good concrete colour then I take it ? "Concrete-in-a-can", Rob. Finely textured, and pretty much bang on the right colour for new, raw concrete. I have dozens of Exactoscale 4mm concrete sleeper bases and a handful of Peco O gauge ones to paint. The thought of brush-painting that lot is the reason it hasn't got done yet. A blast of grey primer and then a few minutes work with a can of "Suede" and the job is done. It's not the only way to do it, but it's certainly a timesaver. Edited February 12, 2017 by Pete 75C
Guest
Just an update - the cans that I ordered arrived this morning by next-day delivery and they are just as I remember them. As Arthur says, the formulation is unchanged, as is the colour. At £3.99 per 400ml and just 99p for delivery, it really is a steal. In fact I just went back and ordered some more... Get it while you can.

All good, and I might also get some more for stock before Pete clears them out!

Guest
This is the best pic I can manage showing the raw colour... but Andy Y's pic of the concrete bridge (above) says it all though.

RMweb Premium polybear Posted February 23, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 23, 2017 Any idea regarding shelf life of this paint please?
Guest
Any idea regarding shelf life of this paint please? I've probably got through about 18-20 cans of Suede before they "disappeared" from sale last year. In that time, I've had one blocked nozzle on a part-used can that defied any attempt to clear it. Some of my cans had been bought about 3 years previously, they were fine after being in the shed for that time. Bringing them up to room temperature and giving them a more than thorough shake was all that was needed.
Arthur
I used some at the end of last year, 2016, which had been sat in a cupboard for 5 years and it was fine. Beyond that I couldn't say. .

Stock up well Pete and bring them over with you is the best idea, I'll have a few off you!! Mike.
