I wonder what's in the boxes? Looking very good so far. It'll be interesting to see how much of a difference the shading makes. Something I keep meaning to do and so far have never remembered at the right time, is to take photographs both close up and far away of the before and after appearance of shaded figures. 2

They look great, as usual you're getting the subdued colours spot on. I think that Mr brown smock coat needs to be taking those boxes out of some obscure little van, how about a Singer Bantam or a James Handyvan for a modelling challenge? 4 1

I wonder what's in the boxes? He’s carrying a box of Hardy's Model figures, but he looks a little bit too ham- fisted to paint them. Don’t let that shooter near the pigeons, he looks a bit of a rogue with that neck tie. 1

KNP
Next stage done, just need to leave now overnight for the paint to cure so I don’t reactivate with another coat of paint. I said smile please but would the coal man look up. Would he heck.... I sure he’s doing it on purpose as he wouldn’t move when I painted him. Snow’s followed them I notice!!! 18

MrWolf
I know what you mean, but there were no Reliants of any description before summer 1935. They were originally built by Raleigh Cycles and branded the Karryall (which was available as an electric) 1932 Raleigh Karryall 1934/5 Karryall, which became the Reliant Regent. 1935 Reliant Regent. My original suggestion of automotive obscurity. The James Handyvan, 1932. Interesting style of wheels!

If time and cash weren't a factor, I'd like to build a replica with a tuned Harley V twin engine. Handy for shopping, tip runs and most of all - Because I can. As far as models are concerned, there's only the Reliant in kit form, I think Oxford did one too. 2
