Thank you

I’ve got a box with wobbly wheels too, I really should just throw them away. Luckily it’s only a hand full and not a large box full

I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t for the fact that Alan Gibson wheels are relatively expensive for what they are

Rusty discarded wheels for Trackside Chris?

Why have something as good as that stationary??

Thank you, I would reconsider if I can get a pair of non/wobbly 10.5mm wheels

I have two pairs of Alan Gibson Wheels and not one runs true

As expected I failed with the tractor....okay so I dropped it on the floor

So instead I've drawn this up and I'm having this 3D printed as the load for my Loriot, it's not an original idea though https://images.app.goo.gl/VJZTPLgQXiJqe3rS8

but as its not available in oo gauge I drew my own

Painting it is going to be interesting

Didn't want to copy it exactly and I wanted it to look like a spur gear instead of a gear sprocket so I've gone for something similar to this

If it looks toss once it's painted I'll just have to use something else

I might just have to load it up with sleepers or just leave it empty, unfortunately it’s too late to cancel the order for the print so I’ll just have to chalk it up to experience (or rather lack of knowledge)

Dare I suggest again a large miscellaneous machine crate marked with the name of one of the old engineering companies?

I wanted to avoid the obvious loads and do something a little different

I just stupidly assumed that a machinery wagon would carry machinery/parts

I'll probably just forget about a load and leave it empty as I'm beginning to lose interest now.

I may have to take a break from modelling for a bit until I know what I'm doing

I can totally understand that. I have had to have a break from painting for a couple of days and just do something different, mostly hurtling about on the bike because I came to a point where I doubted whether I could do something the way it needed to be. Shall we call it an ability crisis? :scratchhead:

Just don't get the doom about it. Really not worth the aggravation in the scale of things.

I came to my senses once I stopped fixating on what I thought I couldn't do and within a couple of hours it was done and I couldn't think what the problem had been.

Don’t give up on the idea Chris. If you have got the load ordered see what it looks like before committing yourself, if it isn’t what you want I’m sure you will be able to find a space for it somewhere on your layout.

Does this offer any inspiration?

You could knock out a whole train of 'em just like the photo! :wink_mini:

Edit: Nothing is ever simple... Turns out these are actually Hydras but the basic idea would still work with Loriots in a goods train - or you could start to produce Hydras!

....boxes are boring...

That is one of the reasons why I wanted something different

although @AlfaZagato's suggestion of a horse dray would be interesting

What about something like this?

There's that.   Dart Castings has a couple of options.    Whitemetal, too, to add a decent amount of weight to what I'm assuming is a very light wagon.

You're quite right, it is very light indeed

Hi Chris, now how about this?

The Load feels like solid steel, really heavy, I had one for a load on my Mason St Layout but cant find the pics.

Detailed with proper chains, it could be the answer both for load and weight.
