The Sun came out again later, and so a pic from the Mills Road Bridge, of 37183 moving the Catfish to the Top Yard.

Looking at that pic above, the Track in the foreground and half the embankment to the left has now been removed by the PW Gang last Friday, ready to insert the new point facing the other way next week for access to the new sidings.

Before the Engineers ripped up the Field ready for the new Sidings, we see 37183 removing some Wagons from the Sidings.

Little and Large discuss the merits of the new Sidings that are due to go in, and more importantly the extra workload it might bring into the daily routine of Barrel leaning and Bogie watching.

Whilst waiting for the Points and Track to come from Larry Godard / fomally Coachman, I decided to do New Road, I've changed it slightly from the plan last week.

Thanks Kevin, Yes indeed, my first plans for the new Yard last week involved the new board coming out at about 45 degrees and then having to duck under to get to the  end of the Yard, I'm glad I washed that idea away. haha.

Once again we see 37183 in action.

08173 pushes an OAA back into the Sidings at Seven Mills.

Todays production ground to a premature halt at 10-30 today, as a call from the Estate Agents confirmed a Viewing for 1300 hrs, so work needed to be done in preparation.

However, before that, a couple of small jobs were tackled.

 

Firstly the wall that was removed from the old Board edge was re instated on the New edge.

The next job was to remove the offending Point and prepare for the new ones to arrive and be fitted.

 

A spray from the misting bottle, and an old kitchen knife and it was up, I have left as much Ballast as I could between the sleepers.

Then after the visitation and Lunch, the first of the replacement Points were fitted, after all 3 being modified ready for the Gaugemaster DCC80 Autofrogs that should arrive tomorrow.

Note, this Point will be modified by removing some of the  end, and moving forward a bit with a curved section inserted.

This evening, whilst the Good Lady watches a Visual Box in the lounge, I've modified the Point and although it still needs some fine tuning tomorrow it at least works.

I, For one, never was keen on the tight bend into the MOD siding, but I do know they existed. I do like the new plan though!
