A very good day, if a little embarrassing walking away with three of the four competition trophies.

You deserve all three wins Paul, I wish it was as easy to pick winning lottery numbers as judging the models today. That's taking nothing away from the other entrants, the quality was high.

As a members day/agm it was exceptional. For those on the cusp of joining the EMGS (and I spoke to a good few who were there as day members) this one of the benefits. Free entry to outstanding layouts, inspirational demonstrations and quality specialist trade.

I can only agree with the opinions of others.

An excellent day out.

Quality layouts.

Thought provoking, inspiring demonstrations. Especially the “ski jump” to determine haulage capability!

Nice venue.

Ample parking.

What appeared to be a good turnout to support the event.

Friendly atmosphere.

A superb credit to the organising team.

Samples of the points and track being produced by PECO for the EMGS looks very good.

Well worth the trundle down the M74 in Vitalspark’s next jalopy!

Well, it was a great day with a real buzz about the place. Well done to Paul Gallon (Worsdell Forever on here) for virtually cleaning up the trophies and to t-b-g for his signal box and ground frame for John Phillips's Doncaster layout for picking up the other one.

Thanks to all the exhibitors of layouts, demonstrators, traders and all the others who made a success of the day, especially to the local Area Group of the EMGS who planned and organised the day, without whom ......

It just remains for the Board to return to the venue in the morning to pontificate upon where the Society should go from here, especially important with the EM track and turnouts that we have commissioned from Peco imminent.

Finally, thank you all who attended, without you none of this be worthwhile.

Im sure you fell asleep in the back in your leather heated seat as you were so quiet..or perhaps in shock in reaching Glasgow in under 2 hours?!

As others have said, a great day meeting up with friends and customers old and new and having a good blether not on the phone or the internet.

Many thanks to the guys from the Borders group of the EMGS for hosting the AGM and to the EMGS Board for bringing the meeting North so we can all enjoy the day out.  Oh, and a big thanks for inviting Lanarkshire Models.

A great venue too with good road and rail connections only spoilt by Northern Rail staff being on strike over the Guards dispute.

Home by 12pm after a quick visit to sister's tea table and really tired out this morning.

Suppose I better get Fiona's van eh, car emptied, aren't MPVs wonderful.... :locomotive:
