johndon
Can anyone tell me which issue of Railway Modeller the third part of David Jenkinson's 'Little Long Drag' series appeared in? Part 2 was in June 1973 and Part 4 in October 1973 so part 3 was in July, August or September but a search for which one has proved fruitless so far. johndon
I remember that series in RM. I was 7 and it fascinated me. Me too, it was the first time I'd read articles on creating a 'model of a railway' rather than a 'model railway'...
RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted November 24, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 24, 2018 I had a similar problem. The first Railway Modeller I ever purchased was 1973 November, this contained part 5. I thought this was an interesting series. However it took about 25 years before I found ALL of the proceeding parts!

RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted November 25, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) David Jenkinson was an absolute inspiration Mike Just as well that he, Bob Essery and all the members of the LMS Society saw the way forward and didn't change to the GWR - like Roye England did!
