That's almost everyone in and we are ready to roll.

Hope to see some fellow RMWEBers tomorrow.

Hi all,

As a result of my heart attack earlier this week there will be no NGS stand at the show after all.

Apologies to those of you who showed an interest in supporting the society at the show, but sometimes staying alive is more important than being at a show.

At least I am back home now - fully equiped with meds etc should anything else go wrong....

Thanks

Phil H

Hi Phil,

Get well soon. There will be a space for NGS next year.

Regards,

Stan

Had a great day today even though it got very warm.  When the rain finally came late afternoon we had a proper downpour, rain bouncing of the ground accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Hope everyone who attended as a visitor, exhibitor or trader had agreed day.

Apparently we even had a visitor two from.the other Perth!

Great show, but getting home proved to be tricky, due to a signal failure at Ladybank. Later resolved, but not before the train returned to Perth. Finally got away 2 hours late. I notice there are other signalling problems now at Glenrothes—looks like the lightning has been causing problems.

(Oddly, the Met Office have a yellow thunderstorm warning out—but for NE England, where it's apparently been dry all day until just a few minutes ago!)

Really enjoyed my visit on Sunday. Another great selection of layouts and a great atmosphere,

Looking forward to 2020 already.

That must have been one of the most diverse selection of layouts locationwise i've ever seen at a single show, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Australia, Canada, USA, Germany, France, Portugal off the top of my head.

Well, another show is done. Our 28th one and planning has already started on No. 29.... (June 27th & 28th 2020)

It was great to see so many people there over the weekend and my thanks to all exhibitors for continuing to grow the show's reputation as the friendly show. We much appreciate the great feedback we are getting from everyone.

We had a rather unexpected twilight session in the Ice Rink, losing the lights for a short time when a lightning strike tripped the power. It was actually surprisingly good to see some layouts in a totally different light so to speak!

Trophy winners:

Best in show: The Harburn Hobbies Trophy was won by John Thorne for his layout "Purbeck"

John also won the Robert Bruce Memorial Shield for best scenic overall.

John Campbell won the Jimmy Robertson Cup for technical achievement for his layout Campbell's Quarry.

The Greenscene/Ten Commandments Trophy awarded for an item of outstanding scenic or architectural achievement was won by Robin Gay for the hops field scene on his layout Rolvenden.

Regards to all,

Stan and the Team

For those who missed it this year or for those wanting to see some of the layouts gain, please see David Watson's video.  As Stan say the night shots after the lightning strike make for some interesting viewing.

Enjoy

Only 361 sleeps to Perth 2020!

Great weekend in Perth as always Stan . Well done to all who organise and volunteer over the weekend .

A bit bit hot but we coped with the aid of a couple of fans and a close by open door .

Looking forward to to next year already .
