TEAMYAKIMA
Having looked at and rejected the proprietary options (Viessmann) I wondered if anyone had successfully achieved any animations in HO/OO - I'm thinking of figures and I'm not thinking flashing blue lights on ambulances or police cars. RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted December 26, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 26, 2019 (edited) Given your intention to get the roadway working, would a police officer on a small rotating arc be of any use - moving out from a passive position to a Stop pose in/near the road? Or a traffic direction officer on a central podium who turns to move/halt traffic? These are more fixed figures on moving bases than animated, but might suit. RMweb Premium JimFin Posted December 26, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 26, 2019 Faller did a range of animated construction items a while ago - 180682 was a compressor with a road drill, 180683 a bulldozer that chugged back and forward, 180684 a road roller that did similar and 180685 an excavator and tipper truck. Still some listed on e-bay. As and when the roadway is up and running, there is also their road works set.

Red Devil
Magnorail will allow you to do cyclists/scooters/motorbikes fairly easily, I've had all three running, definitely a worthwhile addition.
muddy water
It might be in German, but using motors with magnets revolving on shafts to make people move looks like a good idea!

muddy water
With servos and ardunio controllers you can make anything move! The car hoist goes up and down. The car transporter lower the car off the ramp and then reloads it. The tipped truck back lifts up. All of these are on a ‘Thomas’ layout. They work by members of the public pushing buttons to active them. It was a basic layout, but has now been used by club members to experiment with different projects and has grown in its following over the years!
