sir douglas
i recdntly saw a video on facebook of an infantry passing out parade on the "school of infantry" facebook page because it came up on my dad's feed and he showed it to me. the thing is though in the back ground looks to be something like a Sentinel and a van. the school is based at Catterick and i know the camp used to have a branch but i cant find anything about these items and its just as likely to be anywhere in the world. i do vaguely remeber seeing something that looks like a loco body placed in a wagon and plinthed somewhere in africa as a loco screenshot of this facebook video

At Catterick as part of the ITC they have a village set up for doing urban warfare training and part of that set up has a railway in it so could be near that. RMweb Premium petethemole Posted June 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2020 The 'building' looks like a windowed box-type body off a miltary vehicle such as a radio truck and is in the open wagon; it blocks the view of part of the end of the van.
Steamport Southport
Van and wagon. But yes that does look like the body of a Sentinel in the wagon. BR grounded some of their ones for use as stores. Maybe something similar has happened here. https://www.flickr.com/photos/24041160@N02/8187918646 Jason
sir douglas
somewhere in my head i recognise the oval windows as something similar to a Sentinel but by some other builder, i cannot remember the name nor find any photos
RMweb Premium petethemole Posted June 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2020 I went to the FB page and took a screenshot for a closer look It may be a 15cwt van body.

Bon Accord
The open wagon looks to me to be an LNER design high sided open, complete with load inside.
Johann Marsbar
If you have a peer at Google Earth and search for Whinny Hill, Catterick.. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Whinny+Hill,+Catterick+Garrison+DL9+3RH/@54.3585765,-1.72055,672m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x487c1e4062fe6e59:0x30063c515e67a34!8m2!3d54.3585765!4d-1.7183613 and then zoom in at that general area, you can see a short section of railway track, with the "objects" very indistinct at the north end of the track, partly obscured by trees. Looks like it could be a training area, judging by the selection of rusting AFV hulks visible in that vicinity! Anyway if you zoom in on the area you mentioned I'm pretty confident that the stock we were looking at.
sir douglas
now i know for sure where it is, it will make it easier to find out im looking on youtube for example go to 2:27 on this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du_EQbalrpI or from 2:00 in this one. definitely 2 items on track, one is a van but dont get a look at the other one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-0ZDsYkZ9Q 0:39. it looks like a corrugated wagon, as Pete already guessed its a wagon with a personnel carrier body in it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J8iw2_121g or 2:32 in this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHsQReTG8GY
