jono26
You didn't say what the wipers were for so here are a couple of options. Dart castings do etched brass wipers, item 1104, which I used on a DBSO conversion. Also try Replica railways who do a set of plastic wipers as part of an accessory pack RA110. fulton
I've been using some made for military modellers 1/72 scale, I think they look fine in HO or OO, from Hannants by Hauler HLH72026 £5.20 for 38 pairs various types.
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted July 21, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 21, 2020 Military model suppliers produce many etchings and other accessories that can be used for model railways and other modelling genres. Examples are spectacles and cutlery, most model railway figures have 20-20 vision and eat in the dining cars using their fingers. For 00 most 1/72 items are suitable and for N scale 1/144 can be used.
ianmacc
1/72 scale spectacles and cutlery! If you wear full size spectacles you can give up on trying to fix those!
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted August 22, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 22, 2020 Not that difficult to fit the spectacles. They are etched flat, the ear pieces are bent back using tweezers. Then dip the spectacles in PVA glue and place on the face of the figure. The PVA dries clear and gives the impression of lenses as well as securing them to the face of the figure.
