Administrators Phil Parker Posted September 13, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2020 I don't know where you saw this - the last edition was the 9th and there are currently no plans for a new edition.

That is a shame. I think there would certainly be the demand.

Not enough demand to make it viable - there are people who would like the information, but very few willing to actually pay for it. Leaving aside the considerable printing and distribution costs, it would now take at least 6 months full-time work to bring the information up to date. That alone makes even an online version look unlikely. Never say never, but if it was done, a significant investment would be required. 1
deadlyduck
I asked if there was going to be a 10th edition, i was told there was no proposal to do one I suppose if they carried on with them it would lead to more n more volumes . It is 2 now
beancounter
what are the practicalities of a paid for online version, with a quarterly subscription for updates integrated into the catalogue ?
Administrators Phil Parker Posted February 24, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 24, 2021 Technically, it would be do-able. I suspect the price would put people off though. To bring the existing listing up to date is likely to require a year of someone's time. Then, it's not in a database at the moment, but a series of Word document. Personally, I love the idea, but turning it into a commercially viable proposition is another matter.
