What is this structure please?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I acquired a few model railways bits and this was in there. It’s a hefty item and is made out of skaledale or scenecraft material ie resin.

it has three grooves running it’s full length and four pairs of fixings at each corner.

just curious!

Ah, yes; it’s one of those things, isn’t it…

I suspect it is a load for a Trestrol or similar wagon, and represents 4 heavy girders of that shape, painted in red primer fresh from the factory and with the pairs of protection plates for the securing chains or straps at each end, but I’ll be happy to be proved wrong!

Thanks guys but are you sure? They are way oversized for wagonload? See how big they are versus the engine shed they’re on top of!!Unless of course they’re 0 gauge or similar…
