jbe
Just got back from setting up Khan this evening. There are a lot of very nice layouts there already with some one good ones still to arrive. The exhibition manager is a 2mm scale modeller, so very high quality in that department (Grange, Highbury Colliery to name a couple). Do drop by for chat if you come along. Highlandman
Went to the the show on Saturday and really liked the layouts. Was able to take some good video so went back on Sunday for some photographs. Managed to see Mel Rees on Penhallick at its penultimate exhibition before it is retired. What a great layout. Any way here are some pictures of some of the layouts. Apologies to those I did not get. It is not a reflection on their quality I just ran oout of time. SWANSEA RIVERSIDE BAMPTON YARD HIGHBURY COLLIERY WITNEY EUSTON I'll put some more up shortly. Many thanks to the exhibitors who let me take the pictures and to Farnham Model Railway Club for an excellent exhibition.

bike2steam
Good to see my old layout - bembridge - is still 'doing the rounds', but I hope Aldershot also had a good weekend like we had at Blandford.
pointstaken
An excellent exhibition, high standard all round, and well laid out. The one that took my fancy was "West Street Yard", with well-weathered box cars. "Swansea Riverside" was another layout I liked with the really grimy GWR steam. Not that these comments in any way whatsoever denigrate any other layouts, they're just the ones that appealed to me. All in all, a very good exhibition, so I'll definitely go next year. A comment on the traders - a well-known book trader was perfectly happy to take the plastic, all set up to do so, whereas several other traders were "cash or cheque only", which probably lost them some sales. Any comments from vendors on this ? Dennis

Dennis As a former show trader, I'd say they are Dinosaurs, cheques will soon be phased out - many service stations have stopped taking them, and people don't carry so much cash these days. Highlandman
Here are a few more pictures from the show. As for traders who take cheque or cash only, i can't remember the last time I wrote out a cheque for someone and I certainly don't carry large amounts of cash with me just in case i might need it. Therefore they nearly always don't get my business. I also noticed a lack of traders from the scenic, building side of the hobby which was a shame but it still did not mar what was altogether a very good show. RHATIA LITTLETON PARKWAY Once again thanks to everyone, especially Chris James on West Street Yard for his tip about Kadee Couplers and their permanent magnet. jbe
Once again thanks to everyone.......... .............and thanks to you too for posting the excellent photos. One of the downsides of exhibiting is that there is little time to go round and see things in detail, so I've learnt more about things I missed. I am glad that people enjoyed themselves and thought it was a good day out. It was a lot of fun from my side too and thanks to everybody who came up for a chat. - it's what makes exhibiting worthwhile for me.
