Have started to build (Photo plank) for all the locos we own. We can also use the (plank) for programing locos too Its roughly 12 ft long,by 2 ft wide. Don't set me off, I've got a 14' x 2' section of the garage I'm yet to fill, and I've had all sorts of thoughts about some compact layout with handbuilt track, etc!!!!!!! Last year, Lofty sr. taught me a way to do my ballast. yes every one has there own way of doing it,just think out of the box a bit more. Buy a pack of Fine 00, buy a pack of Medium "n. gauge" Buy, not soley Grey bog standard,add a colour of your choice,but do not over do it. Take small quanties,ix/skake in a plastic container, until it blend's to your taste. To mine,I also added, Red Brick modelling Dust.............
