After you've grated the crayons do you keep them in the freezer for future use?

No I just pack them into plastic containers and they stay as powder

Having followed this tread for some time I have taken inspiration of other modellers on here to try and make my own buddleia from some wire, green scatter and crayons!20200524_120224.jpg.3c678a0852b283e28ef7d494b7f2d04c.jpg

1st one positioned at the end of the platform.  I need to look at my photos of end of platforms to see what the vegetation grows like in the ballast.  I am not sure if the colour is more like Rosebay Willowherb.  Either way both are found in abundance by the railway!

One at the end of the platform and one by the signal box.

One little question, I have obtained some crayons and I'm going to try out this technique. The crayons I have have a paper wrapper, should I remove the wrapper before or after freezing.

Yes remove paper first Philj w

I have a California lilac (ceanothus) in my garden with purple blue flowers. The flowers are in the shape of bracts about three inches long with hundreds of minute petals, each no more than a millimetre long. Once they are pollinated the petals fall to the ground. This year I hope to catch them before they hit the ground and use them to create some model plants.
