BernardTPM
The halt in question is shown in this picture taken in 1967. The only clue given is that it is 'near Boulonge' and it is obvious that it isn't any of the Boulogne stations. It looks a great setting for a model. I think it may be between Frethun and Boulogne; possibly Pihen-les-Guines.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted June 30, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 30, 2015 I think it may be between Frethun and Boulogne; possibly Pihen-les-Guines. Google seems to confirm that. Loco presumably coasting to a stop. If it was on the move it would be working hard up the gradient to Caffiers.
BernardTPM
Thanks you both very much for the answer. It only looks to be a small halt so whether that particular train would have stopped there or not I don't know. By the look of it there are more houses there now than in 1967. There are a few more, but it's still relatively unspoilt countryside; when I'm working in France, I can see it from the window. Just the other side of the hill to the right is the AC-DC converter station at Les Mandarins, which supplies the UK with much of its electricity via the Cross-Channel link.
