Prometheus
What is the Green vehicle in-between the Rover and the Austin ? Is it a Saab ? VW 1600, but whether it's a TL or a TS I can't tell. I had several and they were surprisingly fast but suffered from light front ends. There was also an Estate version made called the Variant, spartan but extremely practical. The saloon versions looked just plain odd.... Tony

jonny777
Just before Christmas we had a new living room carpet fitted. This meant moving almost every item of furniture out of the room in order to take up the old carpet and underlay, in preparation for the fitters to put in the new one. With umpteen boxes dumped in various bedrooms I felt as though I was moving house, and had cables and hardware randomly distributed in the boxes over the festive season, but I am beginning to get back to normal now; and things are returning to their rightful places. Thus, more slides from Cardiff in the ~1980s can be given the light of day. 08589 and uid colleague in the summer of 1978. 31165 arrives with ecs into platform 1 1981 37692 passes Canton with coal empties in Feb 1987 47437 l/e undated 25132 also l/e with class 119 at platform 2 (W51066 is the identifiable car). RMweb Premium melmerby Posted April 27, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 27, 2016 Looks like the poor loco didn't have much longer left in this life! (It lasted until Jan 67) Somewhat careworn for a 10 year old loco. No shed code either, should be 70D Nicely mixed rake of stock.
