This evening, thanks to Robert Gadsdon, on Flickr, we have a view of LNER Thompson B1 4-6-0, 61012, Puku, at Bridlington station, in July, 1964, with EE Type 3, D6738, on the left, and another of the class just visible on the right.

Good evening, everyone. Firstly, thank you, Mick, for posting that excellent photo’ of a B1 departing from Hornsea. It’s clearly an excursion train with the ex-LMS carriages, departing from one of the excursion platforms.

 

This evening, with thanks to John Turner, on Flickr, we have a look at Riddles WD "Austerity" 2-8-0s (with 90704 to the right of the image) near the coaling stage at Dairycoates, in c.1966.

1538 was an LNER D22 class built by the NER (their Class F) in 1890. According to the Green Bible, it was scrapped in June 1933, so the photo above was probably a bit earlier than stated. It was withdrawn from Scarborough Shed.
