RJS1977
A club colleague brought the chassis below along to a meeting a few weeks ago, which looks like it may have potential for an idea I've been wondering about for a while. Unfortunately he's using it himself and he doesn't know who manufactured it etc which makes it hard to look out for another one? Can anyone shed any light on it? (The body shell may or may not have anything to do with it!) Many thanks Richard
Fat Controller
It looks as though someone's tried to stretch it by cutting in two off-centre, then rejoining the two halves with a bit of differently-coloured material.
Silver Sidelines
The angled motor driving directly onto the running wheels is similar to the Jouef Class 40. Just an observation. Good luck Ray
tamperman36
It looks to me like a Jouef model, with motor layout and look of the wheels.
RJS1977
That makes sense, given the Continental couplings. Can anyone specify it down to a particular model?
RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted October 25, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 25, 2015 That makes sense, given the Continental couplings. Can anyone specify it down to a particular model? If it runs like a Jouef Class 40, is it worth it?
Horsetan
A model meant for those who prefer not to shell out for a Roco model.....?

Can anyone specify it down to a particular model? 2 minutes on Google http://lestrainsjouef.free.fr/en/ Some chassis are listed as 'unmarked', presumably you have one of them. Some strange translations - rubber band drive = traction tyres?

Some strange translations - rubber band drive = traction tyres? Traction tyres are described on the French version of the site as 'essieux bandages'; given what some Jouef locos were like, rubber-band drive would be a step forward. Horsetan
.... rubber-band drive would be a step forward. Not such a DAF idea.
