DavidM
Hi all! I'm looking at amending the incorrect directional lights on the Dapol 73 on DCC which I've fitted up with a Legomanbiffo soundchip. I know that changing the values on CV49/50 alters the lights on a normal decoder however is this the same on a sound decoder? Thanks in advance..... Nigelcliffe
No. The mapping needs adjusting. Do-able, but you need specific advice for that decoder sound project, so consult DCC Kits (supplier of Legomanbiffo stuff), or Biffo himself for the changes you need. (Even CV49/50 is a feature of one specific decoder maker, not a general method).
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted February 16, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 16, 2016 I took the easy way out and rewired the headcode (plus headlight on Royal Alex) on the small board underside of the roof. Just need to be careful that you dont catch the body with the soldering iron.
legomanbiffo
David, The chips we have been supplying for the Dapol model already have the CV's amended so that the lights work correctly. We can also supply a version (on request) to use if you've modified the PCB to enable the cab lights to be F key controlled, as per the post on RMWeb. If you need advice on any aspect of this just drop me a PM. Bif
