Hroth
Just putting down a marker for the Spring 2016 issue. The proposed publication date on the editorial page of #97 for the Spring issue is 22nd April 2016, so being of an optimistic and adventurous frame of mind I poked around WHS Chester on the 24th, only finding a couple of #97 still on the shelf. Any subscription copies out yet?
westerner
No. And as always with this magazine just be patient and treat it as a lovely surprise when it arrives in your local newsagent. More seriously I will give it a heads up when my subscription issue arrives.
Hroth
I've been reading the mag for quite a few years now, and in my experience, the "next publication date" is purely to remind people that another issue will be in the pipeline and will see the light of day several (or more) weeks hence. I was just feeling slightly optimistic when I popped into WHS!

rovex
Yes I've only bought the last two issues because the the Snow Hill articles, but I've learnt that the publication date is more a hope than a promise. Best thing seems to be to expect it when you see it.

Clearwater
A quick query around the cover picture. Was 7007 a regular on the Csthedrals Express? I have an undated photo I think (assume) my father took. I've found a very similar angle of 7007 in 1961 to my father's pic on the web, also a 1961 shot, so wondered whether I could date based off those? Will post links and pics later when am on computer with pictures stored David
RMweb Gold melmoth Posted May 31, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 31, 2016 7007 was a Worcester loco for most of its existence, see here: http://www.davidheyscollection.com/page21.htm

Hroth
I was in my local newsagents, looking for something quite different this afternoon and spotted the Journal on the top shelf - all the railway mags there are top shelf fodder, though I suppose its easier for those of more mature years to see whats in stock, not like the Linux mags in the nearest WHS, which are at the back of the lowest shelves, pretty much impossible to see unless you are younger... That aside, lots of interesting stuff!
