cheesysmith
I have 2 centre head code box 37s I wish to do as some TI blue examples. I am thinking of one as a version with cutaway buffer skirting and one still with the full skirts, but I need help in finding examples of each in this for the timeframe of aprox 1978 to 1982. If anybody can help, please. Or if anybody can provide photos or guidance where to look?

Rivercider
I think the centre headcode locos started from 37120? My 1978 Locoshed book shows TI allocated locos 37120-129, 37131-137, 37139-140, 37143, 37168-170, 37209, 37226. A search through Flickr might give some ideas. Eg, 37124 had skirts in 1979 https://www.flickr.com/photos/tractionart/7895613678/in/album-72157632301051041/ but they were gone by 1983 https://www.flickr.com/photos/69555384@N06/6326643078/in/photolist-aD4Gz5-mWijdv-8TBLcC-bpg9Pw-8TyEeP-orT9NT-eduUTk-8TBLvw-8TyEnx-8TyDZD-8TyDY8-8Mbi5a-ogf8D9-8TyE4D-8TBLfQ-a5SF4C-GUCBvQ-8TBLuj-8TBLg5-8TBLtQ-8TyEpz-gFZaig-ov6sm1-8TBLam-8TyE9c-8TBLi5-f4AVkx-odNDCA-b3Foy8-9vLYv6-cm7BFo-8TyEma-8TBLuE-EDZWQG-8TBLfy-h5NfQF-BZB851-8TBLnq-9FFzkS-8TyE1D-dj43zF-Fq7Tw-8TBLiJ-8TBLh9-8TyEaB-cm7ej9-8TyE3R-aP56fB-8TyErD-darzwF cheers
RMweb Premium Davexoc Posted June 30, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 30, 2016 Not a Tinsley example, but 37231 was running with only No.2 end cut and oval buffers during the summer of 1980. I guess this was either due to accident damage or an urgent need for motive power before both ends could be completed.

Bomag
And don`t it look better, with the skirts & round buffers. I was looking for the 'No, you must be joking button' but failed to find it. It's a bit like say green diesels looked better - Its not a crime to do so but so very wrong (except for those weird things without traction motors).
