KiOgon
Hi, I'm John. When my lads were young, I built a fair sized OO layout over a period of 5 years or so, for them of course! Now I'm 65 and venturing into O gauge, I can see them! I have a space along two walls for my layout, 3 metres by 2.4 Maximum and will be limited to 60cm wide. I started sketching some possibilities, then found SCARM, which I am now experimenting with, getting used to it I think! My memories of steam trains go back to my very young days, my Gran used to take me on the Bexhill to Crowhurst line to visit her sister, probably from 1954 ish onwards. The line was of course axed in '64 but my models and layout will reflect that period, hopefully with a goods yard full of shunting sidings etc and a small country style station. I have a few 1:43 cars, vans and trucks, just started buying some rtr Dapol & Heljan SR stock. Looking forward to an exciting winter's building, starting in January! Cheers all, John

Pete the Elaner
The 'Sunshine Coast Line' runs from Colchester to Clacton & Walton so I thought this thread was about a layout based there
