Popular Post KNP
And to conclude the archive pictures this is the oldest one I have of, at the time, the one and only Pannier I had on LM. It is dated 28/8/11 and was taken on a Nikon D5100 and at the time I had no additional lighting (pelmet or rig). This part of the layout would only be 3 yrs old and very much a work in progress, which I feel it still is after 12 yrs...? Trees still very basic and no prime ones yet (Sagebrush with sea moss sprigs) and at this time I would have had just two working locos....the Pannier and a Prairie. The line would have ended just to the left of the farm as I hadn't built the mainline station at this time - or even thought of it!!! In fact that area was my workbench before I plonked Encombe Town on it... 34 1

Popular Post KNP
And to conclude todays proceeding the local artist, Dan Dare, has been commissioned to do a painting to commemorate the day. He has signed the painting so in years to come it will become a much sort after item. I understand that following today it will be hung in the Tate Gallery... Sorry, read that wrong. The Tate & Lyle Gallery!! Edited April 19, 2023 by KNP 29 3
Thorness
The Tate gallery is named after sugar magnate Henry Tate of Tate & Lyle, who had laid the foundations for the collection. Henry Tate established his business in 1859, in Liverpool, later expanding to Silvertown in East London.[3] He used his industrial fortune to found the Tate Institute in Silvertown in 1887, and the Tate Gallery in Pimlico, Central London in 1897. He endowed the gallery with his own collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings 1 2 4

This is what happens when you try to push a gate open with a tractor rather than hopping off and opening it properly! Don't ask - it was chastened drive back to the yard though (on a Fordson Super Dexta for those with an interest in these machines).
Popular Post KNP
So I thought I better redo the aerial view with the gate in residence.... Hot of the press 34
