RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted May 30, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) I wonder if the footpath to the gated crossing goes anywhere - or is it used by the pigs to watch the trains go by? It is part of a public footpath (or fore runner at least) network that runs from the lane over the road bridge (brook) through the farm past the pig sty up over the railway line, then winds its way through the wood coming out by a dirt track that goes over the main line using the occupation bridge. It's quite a walk I can tell you as I have done it a few times now.......😉😉 10
Popular Post KNP
A new wagon has appeared in the LM roster. A Parkside Beetle prize cattle wagon no less This is an early one 1909 to diagram W7 but I noticed in from my GWR wagon book and a photo from Warwickshire Railways website that some of these had hand and grab rails so whether totally correct or not mine now does. One set of steps as well so I removed the other side that was moulded from the ends, some mention of a water tank lid but can't find any pictures of that so left off for now. The other one I made earlier is the 1927 version and that seems to have just grab rails (in one picture it has lamp irons as well???) Here is is sitting in the bay siding poising for a picture Edited May 30, 2023 by KNP 34 3

You couldn't make some enquiries could you. Perhaps that chap sitting on the quay side steps might know. 3

She says it ought to have 1st class markings, like the humans’ best coaches. 1 2

I was going to suggest that was a bit strange, until I remembered that I divorced one.... 2 1

Popular Post KNP
A Pair of Prairies at rest. Both slope topped but one a Bachmann and the other a Lima model with its rather tall sides??? Rarely seen together for the reason of comparison. I have done quite a bit of work on the Lima one since I got it about 18mths especially to the chassis detail and on its own it looks ok. I do have a Crownline conversion kit for it (minus the funnel) so don't know whether to use that (or part of it) or leave it alone as a background model now I have a Bachmann one? Decisions, decisions..... Edited May 31, 2023 by KNP

Popular Post KNP
Lets have a brown van day, why a Bloater and two Beetles are leaving LM.... No idea, so I'll leave that up to your imagination. All lined up, yep, so off we go... Even the Prairie been and turn around for the trip.... I must admit don't know why I did that as it could have gone bunker first??? Still, makes a talking point.

Popular Post KNP
First dummy run of the transfer for the viaduct Will be clear with black writing so the block colour comes out. Checking for size etc. I will also line it up a bit better but that is held in place with BluTac
