south_tyne
I'm just wondering whether a kit has ever been available for a Y6 or J70 tram loco in N gauge or 2mm scale? I seem to remember a whitemetal body being on the market some time ago but cannot remember who produced it (or I may be just dreaming it!!). Any help appreciated, David
decauville1126
BH Enterprises did a whitemetal body kit to go on a Lima motorised tender chassis. I think it was written somewhere that it was a bit overwide to allow for this.
Gareth Collier
N-Drive productions which comes with their own RTR chassis.http://www.n-driveproductions.com/locomotivekits.htm Here's my attempt at the kit.
rue_d_etropal
I amsure I have seen a 3D printed one, or a reference to one. I had a play with my own design for a Y6, and when resized down to N scale, it should take a Tomytec chassis or similar. Adding weight woud be only difficulty. The cow-catches would not be that fine either, but it would cost a lot less .
decauville1126
There's also an etched one: http://www.2mm.org.uk/small_suppliers/davideveleigh/index.htm Scroll down to Sheet 5. Never seen an image of it but perhaps someone in the 2mm world can help.
rue_d_etropal
If anyone is going to build a kit, then I wonder if it might be just as easy to scatchbuild. Not the most complex of designs.
south_tyne
Thanks to each of you for your replies! It was the N Drive one I was thinking of but couldn't for the life of me remember who produced it. I've emailed them to check availability. The 2mm scale one looks exquisite, but probably more demanding than my modelling skills can cope with!!
